glorias - There are many good juicers on the market. The Champion is a basic "800 LB Gorilla" which could probably be had for cheap these days on Ebay, etc. .. if you just want a good workhorse. But if you want *really* dry pulp, then you'll want to:
a) Not have price as the dominant factor in your decision..
b) Avoid all centrifugal and single auger juicers.
Instead, look for the twin auger style juicer which can operate at a lower speed. There are a few good ones, the best of which just might be the Greenstar. Personally, I've not had the pleasure of owning a Greenstar.. but credit to whom credit is due. Only be prepared to drop $500, that is, for the best one with full-on wheatgrass juicing capability. Or look for it used. (Nothing wrong with used.. most folks who part with great juicers are sadly ignorant of the goodly benefits they can afford.

Thanks for the sharing

Figured I should add my testimonial here since not many have used this one. The Omega Vert VRT330 Juicer is the best, easiest juicer I ever had. It practically self-juices. I've tested several and also have owned some for awhile. The Breville started adding pieces of produce to my juice and oxidizing quick. I also love how you can clean the vert while assembled. I don't believe I'll ever go back to the cheap juicers again and this is way easier to use than the other similar juicers that produce good quality juice.

Vert 330
Thank you Dimond for mentioning the Omego VERT 330. It looks like a nice juicer. Here's some more info that I found on it:
Omega
VERT Juicer Model VRT330 from Omega Juicers
Available Color: White
The latest introduction to the Omega line is an exciting new design in the recently created Upright Juicer category.
The Omega Vert Juicer is a completely different mechanism where fresh juice comes from squeezing rather than grinding. Omega Vert Juicer is a newly developed patent product which is capable of making soy milk, vegetable extracting, fresh squeezed fruit juice, etc.
LSJS (Low Speed Juicing System) squeezes instead of grinding which allows the juice to maintain it’s pure color, natural taste, nutrients and vitamins.
* Convenience and Quality in one - Enjoy the convenience of a centrifugal juicer (size, space, ease of cleaning) with the efficiency and high quality juice of a single auger masticating juicer
* Low Speed Juicing System - two stage design crushes then squeezes your fruit, vegetables, leafy greens and even soybeans instead of grinding or cutting. This extraction method preserves all of the natural color, taste, nutrients and vitamins of what you are juicing.
* Auto Cleaning System - simply pour water through between juicing different fruits, vegetables, leafy greens and more. Save time and effort
* 70 RPM for peak efficiency
* GE Ultem Auger with Crushing Ribs at the top support the initial crushing stage of juicing
* Equivalent to a 2 HP Motor
* Commercial Condenser Brushless Motor
* Underwriters Laboratories Inc. (UL) Household and Commercial Approval
Specifications:
* Model: VRT330

Hi, I just watched Jennifer Cornbleet's Raw Food Made Easy and saw that she uses a Green Star juicer. It's actually quite expensive at $450 but I like that it grinds the vegetables instead of chopping them up, making the vegetables not heat up nearly as much. Also, as much liquid as possible is extracted from the vegetables so you use less.

Manual Juicer
Hello,
I am going to S. Korea for a year, so I'm contemplating getting a manual juicer as the plugs there are much different and I don't really want to buy a juicer I will only be able to use for a year. The manual one seems like a good one to have if there is ever a power-outage as well.
Here is the one I'm looking at:

I just got the Omega VRT 330 HD. I am really happy with it!! It did good on carrot juice yesterday morning - although my sister commented it was a bit gritty (pulpy).
I guess it was a little pulpy but it didn't bother me. Today though when I juiced some greens it was really pulpy! When I got to the bottom of the glass, I couldn't finish it without straining it. It makes really good juice though, but I definitely needed to strain the green juice.

I think the best juicers are usually the Omega brand ones. They are very affordable, and still produce juice that rates right up there with some of the very best from expensive juicers. For someone "starting out", or even people who have been doing it a while, I suggest Omega.
