    Default Prickly skin?

My son, 5 yrs old, has prickly bumps on his skin, arms, legs, and now I've noticed they are on his forehead and cheeks. They are not red or blistery. They do not bother him or hurt or itch.. he's has them since he was a baby. The Dr's have never gave me an answer as to what it is, just treat it with lotion, seems to do no good... I thought I would ask you all.

has anyone else run across this? any suggestions on treatment? I was thinking of coconut oil, it seems to be my new "cure all"!!

    Thanks
    Nora

I take a tbsp of coconut oil almost everyday...it can't hurt. You may also want to research Olive Leaf extract. The brand I use is New Roots and I'm using it to treat the reoccurring "rash" I have gotten every spring since 2005. I figure it has to be some sort of virus causing it and the medical doctors have been useless in helping me. Changing my diet & lifestyle definitely made a difference last spring and I'm hoping the olive leaf extract will fight it off forever and I won't have to deal with it at all this spring! :)

I was told those bumpy rashes on the back of the arms and other places are caused by a lack of vit. A . consuming coconut oil can't hurt, either.

Just a consideration: Sometimes these things can be caused by foreign material (i.e. bacteria, etc). Try mixing some tea tree oil into the coconut oil. I actually had prickly skin on one shin for about a year, and it's gone with only a few days of using tea tree oil.

If you use coconut oil, just make sure it says RAW. I saw that it doesn't do anything if this isn't raw and if raw, it cures within the same day.

Hope you find what you are looking for, i pray for your son!

RAW coconut oil? I am using organic extra virgin coconut oil, the brand is Tropics Best. It doesn't say raw and I haven't seen any that does!

I thought this was good. Can you recommend a RAW brand?

    Thank you!
