    Default Pilates video recommendation?

Last week at my Yoga class we had a substitute trainer who is a Pilates instructor. What a great class! I've been looking around for a class but haven't found one yet, I live in a small town! (This Pilates instructor isn't available locally for classes or I would have signed up on the spot!)

So I wonder if anyone can suggest a video of Pilates that they enjoy, I really want to pursue this further and add it to my exercise routine!

    Thank you! :)

Living Arts makes some very good Pilates workouts as does Gaiam. My fav's by Gaiam are the ones by Ana Caban.

Winsor Pilates are very good as are the ones by Moira Stott. Here is a website that sells just about every home workout DVD that is made:

    Collage Video

At their site you can punch in Pilates and it will show you all the pilates workouts they carry. I'm pretty sure they have them all, except I'm not sure if they carry Moira Stotts. You may have to go directly to her website.

Moira is an excellent pilates instructor, tho her videos can be a bit...boring. She has a very low, monotone voice. But, you can't beat her for form. Ana Caban is excellent for from as well.

Can you tell I have a lot of Pilates workouts!!!

*edited* I just checked Collages site and they have all of Stott's workouts, but only two by Caban. The one I recommend by her..Intermediate Pilates Mat workout they don't seem to have right now. And they always have Winsors. I should not have gone to their site...I ordered a new one by Rael Pilates. He's new to me so can't tell you how it is!

    hey there:

i am a pilates instructor and, while i recommend classes, since they are far safer; i do know some great videos. the videos are made by classical pilates and are a great resource for those without a live instructor. The makers are bob leikens (or liekens) and alycea ungaro. good luck!
