Default Help me get this caffeine out of my system!!

OK, so this morning My boss had a breakfast get together/meeting thing. I felt as if I was going to cave so I decided to just sip a cup of coffee. this was at 9am, it is now almost 4. My heart is still racing and I have the really bad jitters!! I MEAN REALLY BAD. I have been drinking a ton of water. I am really uncomfy

    Anything I can do?

or do I just need to let it pass.

    My heart is POUNDING!

Green smoothie as soon as you can.

Handful of sunflower seeds or pumpkin seeds may help too - to ground you.

i agree. it will pass. :) tough it out. if you're jittery as in hyper jittery, consider exercising it out as well. sweat it out.

if you're feeling really sick though, make sure someone is watching you.

Caffeine has a half life of 7 hours. Technically, you can't ever not have it in your system unless you never drank it in your life.

    1/2 = 7 hours
    1/4 = 14
    1/8 = 21
    1/16 = 28

So, It'll take a day. It isn't that bad.

I had a similar experience with a cup of green tea a day ago. It will pass in a day. I hope you get some sleep tonight.

Caffeine works by restricting your blood vessels, increasing heart rate slightly, but most importantly it is an antagonist to the neurotransmitters that make you feel tired.

Coffee doesn't give me the jitters. For some odd reason that I can't explain it makes me TIRED. Strange.

You could make a raw foodist think they are going to die by giving them a zantrex. That crap is loaded with caffeine (well, the direct derivitive) as is that 9 hour power (It says it doesn't have caffeine, which it doesn't, it has the extract of the leaf of which caffeine is derived).

Yeah, caffeine, I don't want to try it now.
