Which Juicer should I get for Christmas!
Ok, Which juicer is best?
Is there such thing as a juicer that doesnt waste as much as the cheap one I have???
-
I love the Samson. Well, if you have unlimited funds, the Green Star is the best...but Samson is similar and more affordable. It even makes oils!!

I have a Breville Juicer I absolutely love that I got from Linens N Things. Since they are going out of business you should be able to get it really reasonable there. I also have a cuisinart citrus juicer I use when I fast.

I think the restaurant is called Sweet Janes? But I wonder if they are remodeling or out of business cause there was paper on the windows. Yes I shop at Randazzos often. I have been to the 23 mile store a lot in the past. I used to stop there after I worked out. I just went to the one at 16 and Garfield today. But most of the time I shop at the one at 11 and Gratiot because their pricing is so much better there. I wonder if I will ever run into you at Costco sometime. That would be cool to finally meet you in person!

Omega Juicer 8003/8005
This is the one I just ordered today. I have researched and found this one to be a good company. I had the old centrifugal Omega years ago, it held up very well! I want the slower juicer as to keep it from heating up and loosing value to the juice. This one is a single auger. I am so excited to get it.

I have a breville that I love. I am emotionally involved with it because it got me through a 10 day juice fast. However... I feel like it wastes a lot. Sometimes I will run the pulp back through. I mean I can see juice sitting in the pulp area, so I do what I can to get it out. I think if I could afford one that could make oils I would go for that.

Champion
I love my Champion. Bought it used from a friend about 5 or 6 years ago and it works GREAT. Doesn't heat up even if I let it run while cutting up veggies. However, I rarely use it since green smoothies became a staple in my diet. Now I mainly use my Vita-Mix. So, if you think you'll make more smoothies than juice, you may want to look into something less expensive than a Champion. Just some food for thought. :)

Good to know! I need one too and being new to the state, still don't know where things are located. Apparently you live near me then! I'm a 20 min drive to Lakeside Mall even with the traffic, lol
Oh, did find Randazzos ... heaven! :)

dude no way , i thought you were in britanica .
harrisontownships my region , metro beach / terrace gardens /
sentimental lady saloon / genos surf / lakestclaire , etc .
if you ever need any info / best place to make any type purchase / etc let me know . like you mentioned juicer , well you wont find the better types in local stores . itll be the centrifugal 100 dollarish or less types . i myself knowing the territory and machines would buy a champion or omega off the internet . but around here if i had to buy ide go to a bedbathbeyond (13 mile and gratiots near) and buy their waring stainless steel centrifugal type at around 60 but discounted with the %20 percent off coupon they mail out to everyone around here . they also have a solid built centrifugal breville at around 150 . but my choice before juicer would be to get a good/decent blender to juice with . and around here my first option is at sears store , one at lakeside mall is suggested , where they sell a decent strength 750 watt ' kenmore elite ' model for around 75 , but here over the holidays itll for sure go down in one sale or another to 60ish . its decent made and 750's decent power compared to regular ones . but heres the kicker = at $60 you also get a 5 YEAR WARRANTY , and sears is great with their refund policy and take things back no hassle . so for 60 youve a blender guaranteed for 5 years .
but i dont know your outlook on juicing , and admittedly that 750 watt blender isnt gonna liquidize produce like a 1500watt blendtec etc .
well avoid hall road rush hour + if you dont have and are staying get some kinda boat because lake st claires the best asset of this region , can escape the crowds just minutes from home . strawberry island / gull island (party area for many ) / st claire flats / little and big muskamoot bays are thee places to be all summer . the coolest people are out on the water .
and as a good basic veiw ide perceive the spoken of lakeside mall on hall road area as a central point . north and west of there are alot of good options for everything , cleaner / newer sections of town . best hospital is st joes west on 19 mile off garfield , by lake side mall . its new and clean . oh another close to you central shopping area is off I 94 expressway out at 23 mile and gratiot . it has every type store there . but the lakeside area and north of on streets like hayes where the mentioned new randazos is is the area , just that traffic has to be taken into account .
welcome to michigamee , native american for big waters .
oh and if go gambling go over to canada in windsor to the caesars palace casino . and for concerts its the palace of auburn hills , out past lakeside area .

You can't go wrong with the Omega 8005. I have one and love it. (I've had mine for almost 2 years.)
I would like to add that there is no such thing as the perfect juicer. They all have their advantages. (I've read a LOT of reviews on various sites!
The Green Star seems to be the Mercedes of juicers, although it costs twice as much as an Omega. Some people have also commented on the fact that a little elbow grease is required to push hard vegetables through and that soft fruits can clog the screen. (I've found this happens sometimes with the Omega, too- It's quite easy to take it apart to clean it befor continuingh, though. Also, if it's apples that I'm juicing, I use firmer apples such as Granny Smith to help alleviate this problem.) I've consistently read that the quality of juice is the best with a Green Star and that the juice lasts longer.
The Breville is FAST, although some have commented that it doesn't juice as much out of the produce. I have heard a lot of good things about the Breville, however, and may even save up for one at some point as it is so quick to juice. (For those with little time or patience!) I don't know that it does as good with greens, although it helps if you roll them into a ball before juicing.
Some people prefer to have a juicer devoted exclusively to juicing citrus. Breville has one of these that I've read good things about also.
I suppose ANY juice is better than no juicer. However, I know you'll be happy with your Omega. It's a versatile, quality juicer that should last you a LONG time. (I believe it has an 8 year warranty, too.)
Anyway, may you have good health and much happiness using your new juicer... They are a lot of fun to use!

No Way! I'm in Harrison Township
Discovered Lake St Clair, Metro Beach, Genos Surf (love the view!), went to Windsor a couple weeks back (but I do not gamble), and passed by many many times Sentimental Lady. And found boat people (those would be people who own boats, I don't have to throw money at, lol). Was invited to go out this summer on them, but my schedule did not permit this year. Hopefully next!
I'll have to figure out the rest ..... and will def look into your suggestions. Thank you so much! :)
After much thought, I think I will juice via blender when I want something. So I guess will be looking into a better blender like a vitamix.
Now if you can just point me in a direction of restaurants that have some good raw options (big salad is fine), for when I have to be out. Thoughts on Life Smart?
