    Default Omega 8003 Juicer

Im getting one on Friday!!! I wanted a juicer and was originally going to go for a Hamilton Beach Big Mouth but I did a lot of research and decided I need to get a masticating one instead. I really want it for health reasons and I think the Omega is the way to go.

Im excited!!!!! Anyone else have an Omega?

dont have but over the past 4 years ive read at alot of raw sites and confered with alot of juicers whom rate the omega very very high . i was gonna buy an omega / sampson / green star , the 3 top rated masticators from my reading . and a few years ago my local produce store manager asked me which juicer and i told him omega or sampson (greenstar eliminated cuz of high cost) , well he got an omega (i told him the silver one because white shows juice stains in cracks and crevices more) and REALLY likes it .

Years ago I bought an Omega and have used it, used it, used it and love it. Easy to clean and really operates nicely!

The auger that comes with it tends to grind away. They have since fixed the problem and replaced the auger but make sure to inspect it and there should be NO grinding plastic sound. I got the 8005 just silver. Once I received the new auger it is by far my favorite peace of machinery.

I love my Omega 8003. I have had several different juicers over the years, all the way from a $25 juicer to a $2,295 model. The Omega is the best, BECAUSE I USE IT ALL THE TIME. The best juicer won't be any good, if it's too complicated to use or too difficult to clean. I use my juicer every day, sometimes 2 or 3 times a day. I also use it to make nut butter and smoosh sprouted wheat or rye berries for use in crackers and breads. I'm sure there are lots of uses I haven't come up with yet. Have fun with your new juicer. BTW, I think the white one is great, no finger prints. Wipes clean with a damp cloth or sponge.

I love it and I am so glad that I went with the Omega. The pulp is VERY dry. Does anyone have any ideas about what to do with all the leftover pulp?

I also made frozen banana ice cream and it is really good!

I LOOOOOOVE MY OMEGA 8005! I did have to have my auger replaced because it did chip, but the company was EXTREMELY happy to replace it. I use it very often for juice, ice cream and pates!! I use it alot BECAUSE it is so easy to use and clean! I don't have time to scrub and clean a juicer after I've used it! You will love it.....I've NEVER regretted the $$$ I spent on my juicer!

Yes, be very careful about that. The Omega 8000 series juicer's auger is made of melamine and it seems 9 out of 10 people I asked said their auger is grinding itself up leaving melamine powder in the juice and/or pulp. With all the news about melamine contaminated foods it's clear this is a very dangerous chemical. I hope they really did fix the problem with the new auger.
