Thread: My raw pets

  1. #1

    Cool My raw pets

    Hi,

I had my greater swiss mountain dog on raw food (and some cooked potatoes). She loved it. Her skin was so much softer, she was calmer, yet had more energy. And generally just felt better. I'll upload a raw pet cooking video if I find the time.

I'm switching my two cats as we speak. Since cats are carnivores, I bought a meat grinder (Iuuw, I know...). Grinded some chicken legs and some chicken hearts...

I know it's great for them. As a raw vegan, I am not so thrilled about buying meat again though...

ARGH!!!!!!!! Just can't bring myself to do that...sorry...just cannot touch meat. My "girls" get dry dog food. That's it.

    I know...

I am a bit puzzled about that. But one of my cats had real big allergies and I just noticed how much better she feel after only 2 days raw.
She is running in the house and doesn't sleep the entire day before the wood stove AND the entire night on my feet...

You would love a chapter in Ani Phyo's book about her dog Kanga....he is a VERY large dog and eats ONLY raw VEGAN food. She tells you about it and also gives you some recipes for the food she makes him. She uses all the bits and ends of her fruits and veggies in his dogfood and he loves it. He really is a very beautiful and healthy looking dog. They have the book at Barnes and Noble if you just want to see pictures of him.

    Yeah, they love it!

My dog was 52 kg, so that is quit large. She ate all the pulp from my green juices with a raw egg or some potatoes and absolutely loved it!

My cat also thrived on raw meat! It was incredible the changes she had. I say "had" because she's moved to a new home...she wanted to be an indoor/outdoor cat and we live downtown, so we adopted her out to a family who has a big wooded backyard...they probably don't feed her raw
