just married, think we know what this means...
so, obviously no children yet, however, i thought i would ask (if anyone wouldn't mind) for some of your best advice.
i guess you could say i'm in a bit of a rut at the moment with my eating. i started raw just over three years ago and have lost almost 100lbs. over the last year i think i fluxuate up and down 5-10lbs. i've been allowing too many cooked foods and i need to snap out of it. with that said, we are trying the have a baby and need some encouragement not only for myself, but for the future little one. i just want to feel like i am doing the best i can to prepare ahead of time. i also just started taking a prenatal vitamin called "baby and me" to build up my folic acid and such, heard it was as good thing to do even before getting pregnant.
and the other thing is more selfish, coming so far with weight loss, i'm scared to death i will get huge again. i know this shouldn't be my main concern, and it isn't, but the fear is TOTALLY there. i have only been a thin person 3 out of 27 years of my life and i've never had the confidence or sex appeal that i do now.
does anyone else feel me?
peace and love
I completely understand your fears. However, keep your diet balanced (and drink lots of green smoothies) and you should have no trouble, logically. Remember that your weight is so much more under your control now that you are aware of the power of food and nutrition! Keep happy, keep exercising, and keep Rawkin!

I had my second daughter 6 months ago and I'm thinner now than I was before I was pregnant with her, cuz I changed the way I was eating and now eat so much more raw food ;) I understand your fear about getting big, but I wouldn't worry too much, cuz between eating lots of raw food while pregnant, breastfeeding afterwards, and light workouts, you won't have time to gain weight :)
Even if you do put on a little extra weight while pregnant, it'll melt off quickly.
Here's my blog below in my signature line and here are some other great sites for raw childbirth: http://www.pullingdaisies.blogspot.com www.thegardendiet.com Good luck to you!

just to let you all know that not ten minutes after i put this post up i peed on a stick and it said i was feakin' pregnant!!!
i proceeded to take five more tests, yup, i'm prego, what are the chances of that after such a post!!!!
thank you all so much i agree and will try to be quite mindful.
you know, something that just occurred to me is the fact that i'm forgetting that i will be home with the baby for some time......i'll have more time to make raw food than before. i know, i know, i really won't have time, but i think i'll be able to manage it okay. it is currently not possible for me to make raw food during the week because i'm up at 5:20/out by 6:15 and home at 6:30! it's a full day i tell ya and i use the remaining few hours of the day to catch up on the other daily grind stuff. right now i can only devote my weekends to making food which gets old because by the time i can make it i'm craving it so bad that i want to make the most gourmet stuff and we all know that most of it takes forever! so losing two whole days is okay every now and again, but not all the time.
anyway, with that said i'm thinking positive that when i'm home i'll be able to refocus much better.
