New to Raw
I just started my raw journey this last Wednesday and have been pretty much 100% Raw since then. I am currently 17 weeks pregnant with baby number 4 and so far haven't had any problems with going raw, although I am nervous.
So far I haven't figured out how to feed my SAD husband and myself. The kids are pretty much happy with whatever I give them but my DH has been grumbling a lot. I want him to be happy because he works so hard for us he deserves a full belly. He tries new things but usually doesn't really like it. I feel overwhelmed with trying to make sure we have enough food both Raw and SAD. Also getting a balanced diet for myself, my 16 month old who still nurses 3-4 times a day and the new baby.
I know I have lost a few pounds in the last few days but the belly gets bigger so I think the baby is doing fine, I was about 40+ lbs over weight to begin with.
Any threads I should read in particular or does anyone have any advice for coping with a mixed RAW/SAD family? Thanks

There are A LOT of mixed SAD/RAW families on this board. I navigate this personally by:
1. allowing my DH to eat what he normally eats when he is away from home (this doesn't change our budget in that area because it's what he has always done)
2. Dinner is the trickier one. What I do just about every night without fail is make "salad bar" with a something cooked (I usually try to keep it to one thing, but one thing they will eat and like (it usually makes the salad bar go down easier-lol), you could do meat or baked potato, or a casserole or a soup/stew) but on the salad bar I usually do the standard: baby carrots, tomatoes, onions, bell pepper strips, sprouts, celery, beets, etc (I usually pick 5) THEN I will often but not every day make new raw things for my family to try: marinated mushrooms, wilted spinach salad, marinated collard greens, pates, etc. That way, I have everything I need to eat, they have what they want to eat within reason and everyone is happy. The one thing you will have to do is get everyone to agree to have a salad with dinner for this method to work. I started my children by having them pick two of the toppings for their salad ... any two they wanted. I did get the question once if two sprouts counted- lol. This method has also served me well because there is often some of the cooked food left over and that becomes DH's lunch and there is often some of the raw dishes I make left over and that becomes my lunches.
Everyone's situation is different and it may take a little bit of time to fine a way that works for your family but if you want to badly enough - you will.

Variety of Sweet Fruits and Vegetables
I would recommend providing a variety of sweet, ripe fruits and leafy greens. Some fun things to do are banana-lettuce wraps. Simply mash up nice ripe bananas with black spots on them inside the peel, open them up, and spread them in the lettuce. Then, wrap them up and enjoy! There are plenty of other terrific fruits to try, like persimmons, my new found joy. I think by including more sweet fruit in your diet you will find great satisfaction. Any fruit and leafy green combination will work in harmony to provide a tasty and nutritious meal.
