Talking Raw, Baked Corn on the Cob?

Does baked corn on the cob count as raw food? I'm in my third day now on this diet and I haven't found any recipes yet, so I'm just eating out of the produce department and off fruit and veggie stands. I've had some smoothies and salads, and lots of ripe bananas. But yesterday I found some good-looking corn. When I got it home I realized that I could not eat it raw! I'm not much of a cook. Perhaps the best way to cook it is to boil it, but I put it in the oven at 300 degrees for a short time, hoping not to kill too many enzymes. Now I'm eating it with no butter, salt or seasoning.

Am I doing good? Can I tell people I'm 100% raw now?

How could a baked food possibly count as raw? And why couldn't you eat it raw? There is no reason not to. Raw corn is delicious. IMO, cooked corn is not.

I'm just about to eat raw corn salad. Yum. You can eat it on it's own, with a dash of sea salt or in salad.

    Corn Salad
    Corn, cut off the cob
    Onion, chopped
    Garlic, chopped
    Dash Sea Salt
    Optional: Chopped Tomato
    or
    Corn, cut off the cob
    Avocado, mashed
    Garlic, chopped
    Dash Salt
    Mix together in bowl.

Incredible! I have trouble eating the high-carbohydrate veggies raw, but I get so hungry on the low-carbohydrate veggies that I need to find a way to eat the high-carb veggies.

I'll try your recipe tomorrow. Thanks.

I also have some nutritional yeast, and some Indian seasonings, and some salad dressing, etc. I guess I could try it. . . .

    Thanks.

I love raw corn and always have even before I went raw.

Its perfectly fine to eat it raw. Go for it you will like it especially if the corn is on the sweet side.

I love raw corn right off the cob. I eat 6 - 8 ears at a sitting!

Add in some celery, red and orange peppers and some cilantro. MMMM. It even tastes better the next day after the flavors have mingled.

That's so funny! I just made this dish two days ago! And yes it was good.
I LOVE me some raw corn! I cut it off the cobb, add EVOO, salt, pepper and herbs de provence or rosemary and I'm in Heaven!:)

I'm not sure why this is in the over 50 section . . .
I'm only 18, yet I adore raw corn! It is a rare treat for me, as it can be hard to find organic, nonGMO corn, and I refuse to eat the conventional stuff.
But man-o-man, was the raw corn out of the organic garden at my college delicious!
