far out. If not 100% was o.k, I would not be on this journey. It reminds me when I went vegan before, but not raw vegan. Most of the flak I got was from my vegetarian sister who thought I was too radical.

WOW, I have been away all day, with work, and came back to many PM's and this wonderful response to my thread.

I read every response, and I love all of you and appreciate your words of support, wisdom and concern.

YOU are all so very special to me and my life. And I am glad that my words have touched some of you and helped you to see yourself and your struggles, as I have seen mine.

It's funny how one little slip can lead to so much turmoil in one's life.

And it came on so gradually. I really didn't realize how much cooked I was eating.

It started out as a baked potato (very small one) then a week later, another one (again very small) then a couple bites of steamed veggies, about a week later. Then a couple bites here and there, then a Tablespoon of non-raw bottled salad dressing on a salad, then two canned black olives (oh I really shouldn't have done that LOL), then I ate about one or two bites of cooked food each week, then twice a week, now it's about one cooked food each day, not a whole meal or anything, and I'm still vegatarian (that'll never change) but to me, it seems like it's totally out of control.

Actually I had one cup of coffee and 1 garden burger patty, and one burger bun that wasn't raw today, the rest was all raw. So, it's not so bad, or so I tell myself.

    Actually FOR ME, it's terrible.

And I read your posts, and I see that I am to forgive myself, and yet I don't feel like I am being punishing or guilty, but I must be as you are seeing it.

And when I help other people, I can so easily see their issue, but they don't see them, so I'm trusting you that what you see is where I am.

So, I will work on forgiving myself right now, today, this minute, this time.

And I will keep you all posted on my continued and renewing success.

Again, thanks to each and every one of you who has written your beautiful words of kindness and support and help. I truly appreciate you all.

Blessings to all of us on our RAW journey,
    Rawpriestess )

Hello my name is Lisa and I am a cooked food aholic.

I could not have written this better myself. I am having the same exact problem. I am going raw again tomorrow morning. I unfortunately have to be raw because I get sick otherwise. I fell off the wagon about 12 days ago and I can tell you I feel like crap. For me there is no 70/30 or any other percentage other than 100%. A tiny bite of cooked food sends me all the way down the path of cooked food death. My health problems return quickly and with a vengence. So anyway thank you for your thread I found great comfort in reading it as the first thing I read after not being on the site for a week. But I know what I have to do to get this monkey off my back and am so glad there are so many people who are here to turn to. I completely agree by the way that going raw 100% is one of the hardest things I have ever done also. But also one of the most effective and powerful things I have done to really take control of my health and live more like a normal person. I don't have a choice either. I gave up all my meds months ago and risk serious health issues if I don't get this under control. Wish me luck.

I made that avatar for another forum originally but I figured I'd use it here too. It is actually a composite of five different photographs (I couldn't decide on just one).

One is a photo of a real fire, the eyes are from one of my former cats. The hair is mine, the torso is mine, the mouth is mine (from a different photos) and I also did a bit of editing. By the way, the $ chain does not symbolize that I am obsessed with money, it's just a symbol of power and abundence. :)

Also Linda, I love your quote (not interrputing one). :)
