I have to be the different one on this post. I'm enjoying raw more than ever knowing it's flexible and doesn't have to be all or nothing.

I'd be happy to elaborate if anyone wants me to. I'm just having fun and feeling better.

Nah, I'm with you on that. I do go through periods of a few weeks where I'll be 100%, but then I will have some cooked food every now and then. I don't binge out, and I go right back to eating raw the next day. Not saying that I'm perfect or I have this "down" or anything, but it's working for me, so far.

Podol, it does not seem that you want to be a part of the energy of what this board is for. Read the mission statement and if it doesn’t resonate with you, then decide not to post here. When people are coming from their hearts your smart ass comments are not appreciated. There is plenty of room here for fun and laughter and joy as well as process and in-depth work and when someone is trying to express themselves in a real way and share their process its really not appropriate to be posting the comments that ive seen you post in this thread and other threads as well. This is a safe place for people to express themselves and exchange information and telling people to’ stop whining’ or ask if they ‘farted’ is both not amusing and insulting.
    Thank you,

Swingbolder and twinyoga, i think the point that RP is making is that when you have an addiction to cooked food it is not possible for many people to do just 70, 80 90 percent raw and to be moderate in their eating of other foods. ThatÂ’s WHY they are having the issues that are coming up. if they were able to 'relax around it' and just 'be moderateÂ’ and 'not worry 'and 'eat in balance' they wouldnÂ’t be struggling!

Its very hard to understand if you do not have an eating disorder and issues with food as you both may not, which is wonderful! Good for you that you have found what works for you both. Ultimately, this would be the most logical thing to do. But unfortunately many people are not able to do it so it turns into an ongoing battle of 100% raw or binging as they have tried the alternative that you are suggesting and they are not able to get to this point at this moment in their lives. Im sure they are looking forward to that time they will be able to be all raw and then occasionally eat something cooked and have it not be a big deal and continue with their healthy eating the next day or that same night. it doesnÂ’t work this way when you have an ED.

RP- i wanted to write in response to this, so much to say, wonderful post.
Ill write more later. But this is why itÂ’s not about the food, but you know that already ;) till later....

    Thank you Alissa,
I sent in a report before I read your post. This did hurt my feelings. It's comments like this and unsupportive advice that will keep people away from here.

Thanks for keeping the energy of the board positive and loving!

    Love,
    Angie

It's OK RP. You've gotta know that you're never alone in your struggles. We all have our peaks and valleys. Maybe they are a time of testing for us. The answer lies within ourselves - what do we do during this time? How can we pull through? What have we learned from it so that we can keep it from happening to us again? Those are some of the things to consider.
