Sprouting
Hi all, I am hoping there is a simple answer but...anyhow, I am horriable at sprouting, I usually don't get to it in time and they get mold on them. O.kay my question is, is there some type of goofball proof sprouting device? Any and all responses are greatly apperciated. Thanks. Blessings to everyone.

There are sprouting machines, you can do a Web Search. But for one person it is cheaper and easer just to Get a Bag, a sprouting Bag, put the seed in the bag. Soak the seeds in the bag over night. take them out- put them in the sink or close by to drain, rinse as often as you use the sink during the day and in No time they will be Sprouts.
Or you can soak the seeds overnight, Put then in something with holes (like a collendar etc) put them in the Fridge, rinse them often and they WILL sprout, it might take a little longer.
When you make mistakes, use them as a learning tool. So I would advise you to learn to sprout by rinsing etc. Then Buy you one of them BIG pretty things if you SO Chose..

Our PLANET is so Precious. God created this and its up to us to respect it. Did you know the Water we use today is the same water Moses used? RECYCLE everything you can at least once.... Let's keep this going...........

The first couple of times I sprouted I used a small plastic colander and kept it on the counter by the sink. Rinsing under the faucet often and just setting on a bowl to drip away. Easiest way and fool proof. I have since bought the sprout bags and the mason jars - but I prefer the colander. I end up using all methods when I go sprout crazy and have 3-4 different seeds going. Love sprouting - so much quicker than gardening.

Yes, ma'am. Right here: http://sproutpeople.com/devices/ez/easysprout.html
I love these things. Some people avoid plastic so wouldn't want to use them. I'm not one of those people! I have two of these things, and they are GREAT and EASY.
Actually, I just ordered two of them for my mom. She's wanting to get into sprouting so she can make the calzone and "popcorn", and I thought I'd help her along. ;) :)

I second Eva's easysprout suggestion. It's super easy and I've never had mold. Just remember to quickly rinse at least once per day you're good. This is probably the most easy to maintain method out there.
And I have two as well. Might even get a third!

I learned to sprout mainly through trial and error (mostly error). I eventually got to the point of trial and success.
Also, as others have pointed out, www.sproutpeople.com is an awesome resource. It is chock full of information. And their products are great! I've bought hulled buckwheat and hulled sunflower seeds from them. Both sprouted beautifully.
