    Default What was I thinking!?!?

I learned...you are not suppose to make Almond Milk in a food processor. What in the world was I thinking.....I am soaked with water and so is my counter and kitchen wall.

This is the first time I've made it and I guess I didn't read the recipe very well!

Default I learned that one the hard way too!

that was a funny post! reminded me of my first time makeing almond milk!

I still make it in the food processor but I wrap the machine in a bunch of paper towels - right around the rim - so that all the liquid that flys out goes into the paper towels and not the rest of the kitchen and myself.

What does the recipe say to do? Am I doing something wrong???

I checked several recipes after my fiasco and they all say to use a blender. I think I lost half the water I put in. It was suppose to yield 2 cups, but I only have about one cup. And all the almonds did not get ground up because I was afraid I would lose all the water!

I don't have a blender, just a smoothie maker which is like a blender. I think I'll try that the next time! I did wind up wrapping a towel around the machine. It was pretty funny...glad nobody was watching!
