I can NOW fit into my...
BRA.
No kidding. I needed to wear one today and had my old one that I was unable to fit into for years sitting in the drawers. Before today I would normally wear a sports bra that was no where to be found, but this was. So here I am celebrating the rebirthing of my bra. I still love my sports bra, but this one today is super comfortable too. Wasn't even expecting to ever wear a bra again, but today is a new day. I'm 100% most days, other 98-99.9999%. On the GS Challenge so off to have my drink as I head to a meeting where delish fruit is available and I will admire the fruits but have my water to sip on if needed for 4 hours.
Oh, gotta compliment myself for looking nice and slender today. I am almost headed out the door. My husband didn't pass a comment at all so that means all is well sadly, but this one guy at the meeting I'm headed to always tells me how beautiful my smile is so I can expect one compliment coming up. So, I'm saying nice things to myself now if I can't get it at home or even outdoors many days. Can't wait for others to say nice things that we want to hear to us, so "bragging on me" if no one else is going to! Yahoo for self-compliments!! Find a reason to brag on you now!!!! How about starting with "I'm alive and breathing!" Off to do my GS drink, run for gas, then to monthly speakers meeting--career I would love to get into.

YIPPEE! Congrats! It feels so good to fit into things we haven't worn in awhile. I know what you mean about self compliments, I'm married to one of those non observant hubbies too - he has other GREAT qualities but noticing how I look isn't one of them :). Congrats again!

Congrats on fitting into your bra. Its a good feeling. Enjoy every moment of it, and also your day. Can't wait to hear about your other compliments your gonna get today.

I read somewhere that you have to ask for what you want. Maybe it has never occurred to your husband that you love compliments? Tell him to let you know when he thinks you look great.
Yeah, congratulations on the bra!

my dh is the very same way - and occassionally I do remind him that a compliment - or a bit of encourgement now and again would be greatly appreciated!!! ;)
Have a fantastic day with your RAWmacious self!! Work it girl!!

Awesome for you! I know where you're coming from, I'm looking forward to the smaller cute little bras I can't wear now due to my boulders. You would think a man would notice breasts... maybe he's just blown away by your radiant beauty to notice.

Glad you ladies are excited about my bra talk.
I see so far you beautiful responders are women. We have to take time to continue or start to compliment ourselves. I went to the speakers meeting, it was fabulous and I got 3 nice compliments plus the one that included the smile I have from same guy who just loves my smile. All loved my sparkly thrift store $3.99 evening wear long black jacket I was hesitant to even keep. So now I have compliments to hold me over for a few days.
OT: My husband assumes that if he doesn't say something that means all is good. I'm past the stage of even trying to convince him as it hasn't worked in close to 40 years with seldom hearing words "I love you" It can be sad, but reality so no reason to leave. I am learning more and more it's about self talk so can't always depend on others although it sounds nice and I would think is right, but hey. I count on all of us here to start compliment ourselves or find ways to compliment others. I did that the other night about 4 times, dealing with 4 helpful or was it 3 Dell reps. I wrote to their managers. I felt so good. I even sent them a copy. It's fun to give.
Yes, bra is still fitting well even after a few hours of wearing it. Amazing as I wasn't expecting that result today.
Thanks you all for being there and so caring. I thought this is the way relationships and the world should operate. I'm glad those of us here got that message. Now if we have men posters, we welcome you and maybe we can also learn some tips from you.
Emma, you are so right to let others know of your needs, but there comes a point when it is landing on "closed" ears so you just go on still. I have learned to accept, but not always like it that way, but I'm not going to spend a lifetime consummed in what I can't get from someone but what they can offer even if it is just paying the bills. I'm okay with that. A personal choice.
Have a beautiful day all!!!!!!

Congratulations! It's the little every day things that add up to big successes!
As for hubby, all I can say is offer him the warm words that you want and maybe he'll see the light! I'm no expert in the husband department, though! :)

Kudos to you, Carolg, you have a healthy attitude, and as we all know attitude is everything!:;)

Indeed, you have a lovely, beautiful attitude, carolg. I am always happy to see your posts because you are so positive, and the good vibes can be felt even across the internet!
Congratulations on your day and on your bra!

Emma and Holy,
Wow, what kind words you shared tonight. I can make a choice each moment: good or bad attitude and where does the bad attitude get me anyway?
I just wish you lived closer. We have such great rawlucks always happening. The community is fabulous. Everyone shares great dishes and the new and old friends are so community oriented. They make up this group and I just post the dates. Way to cool.
Ever planning a trip here, come on over. I got your bed ready. Actually it's the same bed that Paul Nison loves and sleeps in when he comes to my neck of the woods. He makes himself at home and goes on his merry way. He's no fuss at all to have here. So remember your bed!
Well, that's it for the moment.
I did put on my sports bra for the rawluck as I thought I would hit the gym afterwards, but didn't get that far. Thought I would come home and stir up some nice ice cream for hubby. Bananas were frozen, now thawing a little and going into the Food Processor with little water and then some yummy Meyer lemons. Yum to the max! May add a little agave as I am into that these days. Ordered from my local friend cacao powder and have to wait maybe a week. Oh well--what's a few more days anyway. Tomorrow hot plans to do my Turbo Kickboxing. It is rockin fun regardless if you are young or old. Just keep your feet moving and you're there with the rest. I just love it as it is totally 60 minutes of a killer class. The harder the better and I try to be more coordinated but I do my best and yes fun I am having. I then do a little floor stomach exercises, fly out the door, come home, get ready for church in rock time and then fly to the service. Of course i show up about 5 minutes later as my morning is already so packed. I think maybe will hit the gym after church and finish up. The Farmer's Market guys love me--young and old. Tomorrow the young kid who wanted my pickles will have his wish granted as promised with a zip lock bag of pickles with brine. He wanted to pay me, but can't take money from the your or actually any as I get the super deals that you will never believe because of who I know and my long time years of relationship building. They get raw food from me weekly and love it too.
Well, off now for the night.
Thanks again for those compliments. You made my night!
Love,
carolg

Carolg - I might just take you up on that invite some day. I fly free on Southwest Airlines! So next time you have one of your shindigs planned, give me a holler. (Do I even SOUND like a German? lol)

Emma,
Lucky you free flier and yes come on over.
I can give you the pre Thanksgiving date for rawluck when I get that arranged and you can come for a long weekend. I have a dog, eats raw, and loves girls. She will embrace seeing you. She is amazing. I know I will probably be flying out a day or two before Thanksgiving to Arlington, TX to see daughter, but you can come a few days even before the "rawluck" which will probably be the Saturday before Thanksgiving. Just waiting to get confirmation. Keep in touch or email me so that I remember, but yes, come. DIA is airport. Look forward to that. In spring my friend, www.brigittemars.com always has a rawluck in her house and we have people come out of the woodwork so that a good one to remind of me also. She does two and she even does local herb walks here. She's great. She then has another rawluck, later on in the season as she loves doing it outside as we get such a large crowd her house can't hold us all.
Up here super early. Slept a little, fussed in bed so decided to get up. Went through one clothing closet, looked on ebay to see if any of these items sold and what I have didn't (most of my closet stuff) so now 2 large bags for Goodwill. I hope you love thrift store shopping. I got the places too.
