Default question for you who have greenstar

    Hey there guys,

I was wondering if any of you have had this problem. When I juice like apples, zuchinni (sp), cucmbers the shoot starts backing up with pulp and at times to the point I have to stop juicing. I have the stainless steel vegetable screen in. Or do you have any suggetions??

Have you tried loosening the lil screw doodad in the front? With mushy stuff, I always add hard things which helps keep it from doing that.

This is my huge pet peeve about the Green Star. I have tried and tried to get this thing to work properly and NOT backup, and it's so slow that the stuff backs up so much it comes up out of the chute and makes such a huge mess!!

Sorry I don't have any suggestions for you, but I want you to know You are not the only one. I even tried to return it, but they woulnd't take it back, even after just one week of purchase! The customer service is awful, too. At least this has been my experiance with Green Star.

this was not a cheap machine, eaither.

I have had this problem and still do but its not as bad if you loosen the screw at the outlet of the juicer and slow down with how much you feed into it. Wait for chute to clear before putting in more fruit.

I would also use the fruit screen it has larger holes and would be better for a juice with apples.

Green Star supply 2 of the little screwy things that you have to let the pulp out but do not seem to tell you this when you buy.
One is for soft fruit and one for hard. I have both. When I am doing soft fruit I put in the soft one but the pulp is then very wet.
I then change and use the hard one and put the pulp through again. This works for me. Before that I had the same problem.

When I get little bits of stuff in the chute, I use the wooden pusher and it seems to get everything going through just fine. I find it helps to put in small amounts also.

I had the same problem and asked the Tribest guys at the Raw Spirit Festival. They said to loosen up the front knob. It seems to work for me.

Loosening the front knob would have the same effect as using the soft fruit knob as it just has a looser spring in it. Then put the pulp back through with the knob tighter.

I'll have to try loosening up that knob. I've resorted to just spooning it out.

ah just the kind of info i'm searching for. since i do mostly soft fruits... i want to get the most of my greenstar (which is arriving next week)...

with my champion, i can put the pulp of pineapple through a few times and still put it into a nut mylk bag and get even more juice from it!!! i want to be able to make juice without having to use the nut mylk bag. hopefully the greenstar will take care of that for me.
