Help! Questions on Parenting!
Are people who eat Raw and Living foods are more gentle, conscious, inspired and committed to the well-being of everyone -- not just our own little tribes? And do those loving attitudes manifest in every aspect of life? Does eating raw make you a better parent?
It would really help me out if you'd be willing to share your experiences. I'm taking a course in child development and have many papers to write.
You know, it's hard to seek answers from kind, willing people with corporate diets and lifestyles! If you'd prefer to answer confidentially, e-mail me at the address in my profile.
Dads .. how did you initially react to your (partner's) pregnancy?
What were your hopes and dreams?
Your problems and adjustments?
Expectations throughout the pregnancy?
How do you feel your experiences (as a 40-100% Raw couple) differed from the experiences of mostly cooked or SAD couples?
Moms -- What was your birthing process like?
1. Where was your child born? (home/ hospital, city)
2. What time of day?
3. Was any type of anesthesia used?
4. Was any other type of pain reliever used?
5. Was the baby in any unusual position prior to delivery?
6. Were forceps used in delivery?
7. Did you use any techniques or specific procedures?
8. How long were you in labor?
9. Did anyone attend the delivery? Who?
10. Did you see the baby being delivered?
11. Was the father present for the labor?
12. Was the father present for the delivery?
13. How did he feel about this?
:) Thank you! Truly!

my children were both born in the hospital.
one was born in the evening (630pm) the other in the morning (930am)
i had an epidural for both, but had been in 36 hour of labor by then with my first and more that 40 hours!!! of labor with my second.
no other pain reliever was used.
no unusual positions.
no forceps
just lots of walking, i walked the neighborhood a dozen times and the entire hospital grounds more than a dozen times. lots of walking.
only my husband was in on the delivery, both times. the first time i didnt know if i would want extra people in, the second time it took so long, no one could coordinate enough to be there.
in labor like 40 hours with the first, the second was about 45 hours!
i saw the baby being delivered throught the mirror, although both times i pushed only two times for the first and once with the second. my second baby had a nuchal cord (around neck) and they told me to try and get her out fast, somehow i did it in one push! i didnt realize how much danger she was in until after delivery.
my husband was awesome, he helped with breathing and holding my legs, he cut the cord both times. i am lucky, he is in the medical field, he loved the experience both times.
i love the idea that fathers are an important part of pregnancy (interested and allowed into the dr appointments and ultrasound procedures, and the labor and delivery. it makes for early bonds made with the babies. i think dads are very close to there kids today because of all this involvement early on.
:)
email me if you have any other questions.

Does eating raw make you a better parent?
YES!!! I am calmer and in better spirits. Which means more patients towards the kids. When mom is happier, kids are happier. The home is filled with fun, love and joy.
Can't help with birth or labor since I wasn't raw than.

I know I am alot less stressed out and calmer and more reasonable and understanding since I went raw with everybody. I do not have any children as of yet. I was pregnant about a year and a half ago and I was mid raw during that period of my life. I was so happy to be pregnant and so was my hubby, but I was going through some high stress events in my life and I was very unhealthy. I was sick the entire 2 months and then afterwards I slipped into a pretty dark depression for a while.
I look forward to a future pregnancy on 100% raw and would be happy to answer all of your questions as the process goes along.
