Before and After raw in the process
Raw before and after in the process.
(if this is in the wrong section just move it to the correct one, and sorry)
Purpose:I am doing this because I would believe it would help me stay motivated.
Background: I am doing this diet because I've heard it can help with any skin issues, and I have bad acne that's been bothering me for quite a while. Also I want this diet to help me with my hyperhidrosis problems.
I will update this thread with pics every week.

Hello,
I just want to provide you with some encouragement. I started raw also because of facial acne. It was very much like yours. The good news is that raw cleared my skin and lightened my dark scars. My skin is now baby-smooth with no acne or any signs that I had acne problems before. As long as I eat raw foods, my skin stays beautiful and clear. The bad news is that it was a very gradual improvement, about 10% improvement each month. It took me about 1.5 years to be completely acne free. Also, even after I became acne-free, if I ate a lot of cooked food, I would still get 1 or 2 pimples. But unlike in the past, these pimples usually stay around for only a few days rather than a few months.
Wish you a much faster improvement on your journey to become acne-free. :)
High raw since April 2006

Hi Overbech, wishing you much success as you continue eating raw foods. I just wanted to mention my own experience. I started out with a specific goal to help me heal my knee and there have been so many other benefits. Although I didn't have acne, I would get a few blemishes on my chin and forehead if I overindulged in unhealthy foods when I was a vegetarian. That has completely disappeared on raw.
I'm by no means pushing this, just bringing it up that I've had a lot of success healing my body by fasting and eating raw foods. Have you considered juice fasting for a short period? Like 1-5 days? Or have you ever tried this? I find that it's one of the best ways to heal the liver, gall bladder, pancreas etc for those impacted with skin healing opportunities. Generally it's the liver and colon that require healing with acne. Especially the colon. A clear colon = clear skin. The master cleanse might be a great one for you to consider short term. Or even just drinking fresh squeezed lemon juice daily if you don't want to fast. Lemons are extremely good for cleansing and healing the skin - as well as cucumbers. Try drinking cucumber juice also. Just wanted to mention this to you for consideration.
Again good luck! You'll find a lot of great support on this board.

High testosterone will cause that. Lots of milk and meat products have excess hormones from injections and the stress that the cows go through.
Anger and stress causes a rise in testosterone. Spicy foods as well (moderation is key).
It's a fight and flight response. Our body readies ourselves with hormones to attack whatever that's threatening us. Live without fear, basically. Do not seek confrontation.
A happier stress-free temperament and taking out foods that are hormone laden will help.
Excess strength exercise will do it also. Balance your routine with distance running or swimming. Definitely no 'roids. Drink lots of water and sweat out the hormones.
