Thread: Bowel Cleanse

    Default Bowel Cleanse

    Hi,

I'm looking to do a Bowel Cleanse... I've been on raw for ages now but months of eating so many nuts/seeds i think has caught up with me... my stomach area is bigger and my digestion isn't great... I've recently reduced intake of nuts/seeds and been having green smoothies which im hoping will help, but i want to do some sort of bowel cleanse to really help. Can anyone recommend any? I'm more interested in the Oxygen based ones as they look easiest to follow, but only if they actually work!!

If anyone can help in any way that would be great!

Raspberries. I just ate a whole bunch of raw wild black raspberries from my backyard yesterday morning. Today my bowels are completely cleaned out and my stomach is flatter than it has been in a long time. :)
I've heard that raw okra has a similar effect, but I haven't tried it because I never liked cooked okra.

Raw okra is better than cooked okra. It's not as slimy if you don't cook it.

It still tastes mostly the same, though. So if you think it's yuk, you'll probably think it's still yuk.

It was always the sliminess that bothered me, not the taste. I like the taste of all green things :) . Maybe I will be brave enough to try raw okra now.

thx rawstrength and dragin, i'll be off to get some raspberries and okra this afternoon then - see what happens if i consume them for a while. :) i'm also after a colon cleansing product too tho, yes i know hardcore raw foodists are probably against this, but i really feel i need one. I should of said before that my bowel movements are actually frequent... and theyve defiantely increased since having green smoothies.. id say maybe around 3-5 a day! But the problem is my stomach area is still quite big even tho i have lots of BMs, and i can often have pains/cramps etc after eating certain food, or mixing foods together or eating food too soon from eating another food. So if i could take some sort of colon cleanse in addition to raw bowel-friendly foods i think that would be the way i wan to go.. iive looked at the oxygen based colon cleanses.. particularly the oxypowderand was wondering if that would be something good to take?
