    dont trust the plastic boxes , dont like any type plastic touching ingestibles . bottled water included .

    just saw , but did not open box and look at , a very big meat type dehydrator at gander mountain yesterday for under 200

    and theres tens of home made designs around internet . one guy takes and stack a bunch of papeer furnace filters together
    with the food inbetween each one then ties the stack to a box fan to be dehydrated by air flow

    other method use light bulbs as heat . could also use furnace duct work type sheet metal to make own cabinet + light bulb + those pizza trays for crispy crust with holes in them to make own

    Traceyraw: I just looked around forum, and sow my post almost year ago, and your "edit" about dehydrator :)
    Sorry I wasn't so good with computers, so copy/pasted wrong address, I mean on this food dehydrator, that I am using for almost year and yes it is beautiful, useful and I am very satisfied :)
