    Default 2 month plateau ended!

I am not sure if this is the place to post this since I don't have a photo to share. I just wanted to encourage others that may be struggling with weight issues. I have estrogen and thyroid issues and for the past 2 months despite diet and exercise I hadn't lost one single pound. It was so fustrating!!! Especially when I shared my disappointment with someone that doesn't have weight problems. She looked at me like I must not be telling the truth and said "Are you sure there isn't more food your eating and forgetting to mention." It's rough when you know your doing all you can do and it doesn't seem to be working. But I kept up with diet and exercise and came to this forum to look at all the amazing photos and read the stories. You guys have truly been the encouragement I needed. After 2 months of no change this weeks weigh in shows a loss of 8 pounds! Now that may not seem like a lot but with the thyroid and hormone issues I have this has been a hard fight. So I am pleased to finally be past the plateau. For all of you out there that may not have the quick results that some have don't give up! It may be tougher for us but it will happen. Even more important than the 8 pounds I feel great!

Congratulations! And thank you so much posting your success!

I also have some thyroid issues, and I sooooo want to start taking my medication again since I'm not losing any weight despite being raw for over a year. In fact, I've gained more than 10 pounds! So, when I read all the testimonies like your's and everyone else's, it inspires me not to give up!

    Keep on rawin',

When you've been on harsh medications for a long time sometimes it just takes your body a long time to get them out. while it's working on that detox you're not going to loose weight like you might if it wasn't working on detoxing the medications. i've been going through the same thing. i was on a hight dose of steroids for colitis adn didn't loose anything for a month and in the past week 5 lbs! also when it's been a long time that you haven't lost weight, like a year, make sure you're not eating too much fat like nuts and oil etc.

Well done you for sticking with it and getting past that plateau.

You've done really well to keep going. 8lbs is a lot. It's more than half a stone if you like British measurements.

Every pound lost is a victory. Keep being patient and I know you will eventually see you're goals met. Plus remember how good you feel. Thats worth infinitely more than the pounds lost! AND 8 pounds in 2 weeks is SO AWESOME!!!! I've slowed to losing about a pound every two weeks recently and while it's frustrating when I recall the beginning when the weight was FALLING off I like knowing that my body is really feeling every pound of weight leaving and adjusting properly so I am not constantly fighting to keep it off. Congrts and keep it up!!!

Good for you! I bet that you are feeling way better anyway! Sometime, our body will do the major repair inside before starting to loose the weight, so hang in there and congratulations for putting your health first.
