Welcome to Lazytown...
For all you parents out there that have trouble getting your kids to want to eat healthy, you should let them watch Lazytown. It comes on Nick Jr. during the day on Nickelodean. The story is this.
A little girl named Stephanie (cute with pink hair) moves to a town called Lazytown to live with her uncle the mayor. Living there are Ziggy (loves sweets), Trixie (plays pranks on people), Stingy (wont share), and Pixel (always playing video games). There's a bad guy named Robbie Rotten (who reminds me of Jim Carrey) who's always trying to get them to be lazy. There is a superhero named Sportacus, who's a muscular guy with a pencil thin mustache and a ship he flies around and comes to help people be active.
The show is all about sports and eating healthy; if Sportacus eats bad things he gets a 'sugar meltdown.' So he only eats fresh fruits and veggies. Add to it technopop music and dancing, and kids love it.
It's a GREAT show, I love it too! I'll admit it. Definitely has a good message.
The guy who made it plays Sportacus...he's a world class athlete dedicated to helping kids be in better shape.
Anyways, here's the site. http://www.lazytown.com/
Your kids will like it!

Thanks! Of my 3 kids, my daughter is the couch potato. (not that anyone else is out there!) I will mention the show to her. My two boys will watch t.v. occasionally, but not as much as my daughter.

I love the show "Ruby and Max". I believe the show is for toddlers. LMAO!! But I find Max sooo cute!
Thanks for the heads up, Steve. I will mention it to my friends/family who have children.

Yep we are Lazytown fans too. HA! Great show. ;)

I like Ruby and Max too! He is always getting into innocent trouble!
But, speaking of getting kids to eat healthy, I do struggle with that. My two youngest (girls) are probobly the easiest. My son - UGH! He is so picky. The only raw veggie he'll eat is carrots. I will never give up trying, though!

I have a 3 y/o and we watch Lazy Town! He loves to get up and do what they are doing. On the www.nickjr.com website you can even design a little workout/dance to follow, along with other things to do. Just click on the PlayTime/Play Now box and then click on the LazyTown icon at the top (that shows Sportacus).

Lazytown is the best show!
I was a live-in nanny last year, and the two girls LOVED to watch it - they would always get so excited and jump and dance during the songs. Even the commercials for Lazytown would get them dancing.
The girls would tease me because I had a "crush" on Sporticus... he's so cute
I am frequently appalled by the low regard you Earthmen have for life.
