I just ordered a home starter kit, but then just read about the mold it can have while growing it inside..
Has anyone figured out how to stop this yet?

You will need to put the Wheatgrass in a well ventilated area. Most times there isn't enough air circulating and that is why the mold will grow. It's best to grow outside.

Ventilation is very important when growing wheatgrass. However, if you still get mold, the wheatgrass is still usable--just cut up to an inch above it, rinse and use as usual. I started some wheatgrass a few days ago and just put my containers outside today. My experiment I'm doing is seeing how they grow with soil and without soil. One container has some finished compost in it and the other has cheesecloth with a kelp 'fertilizer' I made using organic kelp powder and filtered water. So far both are coming up well. I'll take pics and post them as soon as my phone is charged. :)
