Master Cleanse Or Juice Fast
I was wondering to those of you that have done the master cleanse and a juice fast how do you compare the two. I wanted to see which one had the best weight loss results. I have done a juice fast for 10days and lost 10lbs and was just wondering about the MC.
I did the MC for 10 days in Janaury but not really for weight loss - just for cleansing of my body and soul. However, I started gaining weight on the MC because of the Grade C Maple Syrup plus I started experiencing sugar cravings as well...I did have a good cleansing and detox, though...and around day 4, I took out the syrup because of weight gain and sugar cravings plus the syrup was waaaaaaaaaaaay too sweet for me.
I fared better on a juice fast. No sugar cravings. No weight gain. And I felt great and was able to continue with my normal exercise routine. But not too sure how much weight I lost being tht I didn't weigh myself when I started on a week long juice fast. I just fared better on it.
But don't dismiss the MC. I think for some people, it can work wonders. It just really depends on you more than anything.
I've never done the master cleanse, but I do reccommend the fruit fast. Doesnt have to be juice, for me, juice got a bit boring so I did a 10 day fruit fast. Juice and whole fruits. Let me reccommend WATERMELON!!! Good nutrients, easily and quickly digested, really cleans your system. I dont know how much weight I lost, but I did get myself down to a good weight. No sugar cravings, if you do want more sugar, try having dried papaya spears....really sweet...and tastes like candy, you'll think youre cheating. Anyways, I'm rambling....
yes , I LOVE WATERMELON - Im on a blended fruit fast (only blended oranges ,clementines and watermelon ) then on wednsday Im doing the mc for ten days (sparkling mineral water ,lemons and stevia, cayenne) -the m.s. is WAYYY too processed (not raw) and since its ONLY there for the minerals ,I decided to try mineral water....

Livin Raw what happened?
Did you end up losing weight?
What were the last 6 days like for you?
I've been doing the MC for quite a while now. I am feeling really anxious about stopping the cleanse. I wanted to do it for 40 days in celebration of sping. I don't know. I am really wanting some fresh delicious fruit. At the end of the month, I will have reached 40 days if I don't decide to end this Sunday (still contemplating). The MC was good for me because it helped me to focus and achieve clarity about some things I've been pondering. This is my second one for the year. I started it at about 225 and I am now 195.
I will say with my crazy schedule these past few months, it would have been better to just do a juice fast. I could really use the nutrition. From now on, I will not do the MC unless I am able to get all the rest that is required. I can't wait for the watermelon, pineapples, apples, grapes, plums, oranges, melons,.........lordy, I can't wait
That's great lavender that you stayed on it , even when you had a busy work schedule ..yay! for you
