Anyone buy the actual WheatGRASS?
Im getting a juicer that can juice it. I dont want to actual grow it. LOL. But can you buy the actual grass grown? I live in Los Angeles, so I know there has to be sumthin.
Alrighty.... thanks1

Yeah, you can buy just a patch of wheatgrass in soil, if that's what you mean. I live in Upstate New York and they sell these in small plastic containers in my local grocery store. I haven't purchased any wheatgrass because I do not have a juicer that can juice it but one day I will!
I don't know a lot about this and I know you'd rather not grow it yourself, but it's worth mentioning that it's probably much more economical to do so. Just mentioning :)

Check Whole Foods Market! In my area they sell organic, fresh cut and bagged wheat grass. It looks so good, but I do not have a juicer that juices wheat grass.
Good luck!

hey
Awesome, Thanks Raw's.
So any special storing I need to do if I buy more than one? How much grass to make enough ounces to juice? Anyone know...
;)

Well if you buy the pre-cut wheatgrass, you will need to store in the frig. If you buy the wheatgrass still in soil, you will need to water it and place it in sunlight and be sure to keep it watered. One whole tray should be good for a week if you use it once or twice day. Not sure of the tray measurements. Also if you do buy the wheatgrass with soil you will need to place it in a place with good ventilation or it might start growing mold.
Here is a website where you can buy sprouts, wheatgrass and other edible veggies: www.sproutliving.com

Probably not the place to put this info -- but I just posted this. I'm selling my wheatgrass juicer if anyone's interested. http://www.rawfreedomcommunity.info/...ead.php?t=3698
As for wheatgrass to buy -- docsharp hit the nail on the head with all of her info -- As for the tray, there are a good amount of different sizes. Mine are all 11 x 22, but I've seen them smaller than that, so I guess it depends on the size of the tray. I only point that out because I've seen some pretty small trays out there!

I've bought the actual grass from WO. Still growing in a little peat box. I use to cut the top off and just throw into the blender/ vitamixer, no juicing required.
It is, therefore, evident that it is possible to cure by foods, aliments and fruits; but as today the science of medicine is imperfect, this fact is not yet fully grasped. When the science of medicine reaches perfection, treatment will be given by foods, aliments, fragrant fruits and vegetables, and by various waters, hot and cold in temperature.

My cat love wheatgrass. I grow my own, but I've seen it for sale at my local wholefoods before.
~I am only interested in results. If something works, then an explanation is really just an intellectual exercise. ~
