I am so psyched about this!!! However...I've not been to Canada in over ten years and we'll be driving. Do we need passports now to cross the border? Anyone have a clear and definite answer, b/c I've gotten mixed opinions so far. Sounds easy enough to get a passport but my partner and I both got our names changed and therefore won't have our new birth certificates for up to 8 weeks, so to then wait for a passport...well, that's cutting it close I think.

    Yes, you need a passport.

    Raene,

If you're driving across, you might be fine with just your license. (photo id)
Best to verify to make sure. If not, you should have plenty of time to apply for a passport.

    Good luck!
