I have never in my life found an inexpensive avocado. I'm always at the store at the wrong time I guess, haha.

If you have an Aldi store near you, they sell avocados pretty cheap. I think I paid $.89 each for them when I picked some up this week. I've seen them there for cheaper than that, though.

I got a whole box of avocados (60 of them) for $36.00

Such a fantastic price!! Of course not organic even though we would prefer it but, some say that avocados are on the bottom of the list for any chemical sprays so we opt to save money with these.

I stopped at a Mexican store to get some and was fishing through a bunch of very, very over ripe ones (probably black inside). A young worker there asked me if they are good in his mexican accent and I let him know "not really" and he said he'll go back and get another box. He came out with it and I asked him how much for the whole box. He came back and told me $36.00!!!!!! Wow!! I definitely took it! Can't beat that!! My husband asked me why I didn't get two boxes.

By the way, the price absolutely does not reflect the quality on these. They are beautiful, delicious avocados.

Oh my!!!!! I'm reading all of these responses, and I am BLOWN AWAY! Where I live, the cheapest I've ever seen them (on "sale" --- NON organic) is $1.50 each. But that's usually the price; they're just calling it a sale because... hmmm, well, I don't know actually.

The organic ones are only 20 cents more, so I always get organic these days for $1.69. They do taste much better... although in the beginning of this journey I thought they tasted the exact same...
