Talking New to group in San Jose, enzyme question

    Hi all,

I am new to this group. I am 51 and have had health issues for 12 years but have had digestive ones my whole life. I have severe allergies to gluten, dairy, eggs and yeast and molds. If I eat any of those things I have a really bad reaction that lasts for hours and has sent me to the ER on several occasions. I have antihistamines on me at all times just in case.

Right now I am eating 2 out of three meals raw. I am very lucky to live in Northern California with three Whole Foods nearby. There are also a few brands of foods that are raw, so I can have Tu-nut on a big salad. I can also buy ready made bars to snack on.

My challenge is a lot of bloating. I take a lot of digestive enzymes and betaine hydrochloride which helps.

I am thinking about getting the therapeutic enzymes but am afraid I'll have a reaction to them unless they are hypo-allergenic.(Since I am allergic to yeast,I am worried that the enzymes are gotten from yeast or fungi).

    Does anyone know about that.

Thank you so much for listening,
    June

P.S. I haven't pooped this much in a long time!

June, I'm in San Jose too. I work at Whole Foods on Bascom Ave. in Campbell in the Whole Body department. Why don't you join in on the 30 day raw challenge on that thread here? I'm starting may 1st. Lesli aka Mamabird

    Hi Mamabird,

That is my favorite store in the world! I am in the store in Campbell about 4 times a week.I'll have to stop and say hello.

Yesterday I bought the tu-nut salad, raw bread and raw hummus.I had some for lunch with a little salad. Its pricey, but I haven't learned how to make those things yet.

For breakfast I have been having a green smoothie, sometimes a piece of the raw bread with cashew butter and banana.

I'm definitely in for the challange! I was all raw yesterday.

    Have a great day,
    June
