    Default white radish (mooli) recipes?

I visited our asian market today and found a long white thing that's a white radish or white mooli. But what can I do with it??

    Thanks in advance!

Not sure exactly what a mooli is but most roots are great to make ravioli with. Just slice really thin with a food processor and put some kind of seed cheese or pesto in the middle. Really yummy. Also if you have a dehydrator you can make chips.

Tanja, what did you end up making? I tried to use it as rice, but the flavour was too overpowering for me. I still have the second half of it left and I'm wondering what to do with it..

It's also called a "daikon" in the U.S. if that rings a bell for anyone..

    Ingunn,

I've made pickled daikon for sushi rolls before--it tastes great with avocado and marinated shiitakes! Slice the daikon into rounds about 1/4 inch thick and put into a jar. Add 1 T. of sea salt, 2 T. agave (or other liquid sweetner), 1 T. apple cider vinegar and 1/4 t. turmeric (you don't have to but it turns it a really pretty yellow and is traditional). Fill the rest of the jar with water and shake until everything is blended. Stick it in the fridge and you have pickles in a few days!

Ingunn, I sliced it thinly and used it as "nachos", topped with salsa, nutty mince and veggies. Was quite good actually.

Olive, that sounds delicious. Will try that when I buy it next time!
