Started my Master Cleanse this morning
Hello all.
I started a Master Cleanse this morning. Forgive me if this message sounds funny as I'm feeling a bit dizzy from lack of food.
So far I've had two 10oz glasses of the lemonaid and 1 quart of saltwater made from organic seasalt.
Man that saltwater goes through you fast. I did it early so I would have time to stay home by a toilet.
Anyway, I guess I'm looking for some support as most of my friends don't understand what I'm doing,
Have a good day everyone!

I'm on it too...sort of
Today marks day 5 of the MC for me...don't know how much credit I can give myself though; I was doing well the first 4 days then last night after a stressful class the hunger got to me...I had to have something warm and filling so I ate some miso soup with carrots and seaweed...it's not even raw, yikes! Needless to say I won't be doing that again, and plan to continue as planned with the MC...I don't feel as good today as I did on just the lemonade (and I definitely am producing mucous from the cooked food already!), believe it or not, the first 3 days were rough (detox symptoms) but my energy was through the roof yesterday (day 4), I was jumping on my mini trampoline and it was incredible the energy I fetl! Like a teenager again.
Anyway, good luck , and don't break it. You'll be sorry if you do and in my guesstimate very happily pleased if you don't. Today , it is back to lemonades and senna tea for me :) . After this episode, and realizing how truly detrimental cooked food is (and also placing soy on my suspect list of food allergies) I have decided to go 100% raw again.

i love the master cleanse but here is my problem with it..... maybe someone has a suggestion. the salt water thing is quite violent and it needs to be done. i have to be on a 7 am train for work in the morning and i can't keep running to the bathroom. i am up at 5:30 to get ready any ideas on what time to guzzle the mixture??? i did it for 2 days but i did not have to work. the only reason i ended it there was i did not want to worry about going to the bathroom on the train or at work or.......... having an ooops!!!! GROSS

Well, here it is 1:00pm and I'm still a bit hungry. However, the hunger fades in and out. It's totally tolerable for me.
As far as the saltwater goes, I had mine at 5:30 and had eliminated everything by about 7:00. So, that might work. You could also make it the night before, wake up early and drink it, then go back to sleep until you need to use the restroom.
Anyway, happy so far. I feel like I'm doing something positive for myself. I want to be toxin free when I return to the raw lifestyle.
Thanks for the support gang!

Well, thing got a bit rough when I got home from work today. I was so hungry. I haven't felt hunger like this is a while. Anyway, I didn't cave in. I simple sat on my couch and ended up falling asleep. An hour later I awoke with no hunger (yes!!!).
Anyway it's 9 here in Seattle and I'm feeling much better. Hopefully I won't get as hungry tomorrow.
Good night everyone...

Hi guys - just stopped in to wish you all well. I finished the MC last Tuesday. It was my first time and I did it for 9 days. Heather Lynn - on one MC forum I visited, they gave the suggestion of having the tea at night and in the morning. I did that about half way through when I needed a break from the salt. Also, the type of salt makes all the difference in the world! I used Redmond's real salt and found it much more gentle than when I tried a Mediterranean sea salt. Best of luck! Lori

Thanks Lori!
Well, I can't tell you all how well I slept last night. I went to bed at 9:30 and woke up at 8:00. I had some amazing vivid dreams as well. I have a nice sense of calm over me this morning and no hunger.
Hopefully most of the hunger has passed.
Anyway, have a nice day everyone!

dreams....
I had very vivid dreams my first couple of days on the MC as well.
Since going raw again I have also started practicing affirmations. One of the coolest things that has ever happened to me happened a few weeks back. I had a dream, that I visited several corners of my mind where I had "decorated" these cool elaborate rustic treehouses in the affirmations I had been praticing. Very artsy and elaborate. I can't tell you how cool it was to feel like I had actually gotten through to my subconscious! I thought, wow, if I can really do this, anything is possible.
Hmmmm....maybe this belongs in the personal growth link. LOL. Bottoms up to the lemonade and vivid dreaming!

Sleeping in Seattle huh? Ok, that was corny. Just wondering how your cleanse is going? I'm going to start one either on July 4th or July 6th and I'm a little nervous about it.
