    #20 The lowly lime.

May not be a superfood, but it's a taste sensation.

Great in guacamole with cilantro, squeezed over a papaya, and zested into a corn salad.

    Limeys unite!

    OK, lallen13
    Let's see

I love cherries and berries, specially when eaten with fairies (for VV)
I love persimons and melons when eaten with felons
I love hazel, brazil and macademia nuts, figs and pears when eaten with mutts,
I love olives and apples and things on trees, and although I love honey, I don't eat bees.
I love squashes and pumpkins and herbs galore, but they aren't very good if bought from a store.
I love tomatoes and peaches and ripe red raw fruit, and sometimes if eaten too fast, I will toot.

OK, my inner child is having Wayyyyyy too much fun.

This reminds me of that cute poem Autumn wrote, she is a kick in the pants.

    What number are we at???

    # 21? Purslane. A wild green with the highest percentage (amongst greens) of good omegas. I have not had one yet, though. I think it grows in America. Does anyone know how it looks like?
    I admit it: I am a fruit lover!:p

    Gosia,

It grows all over Ohio, probably just about most places in the USA. It's a weed to us, although I've always thought it would look good in a rock garden because it is a succulant. However, I never knew it could be eaten, so......I looked on the net. Do a search for "purslane" and low and behold there came up lots of things. I glanced at an article call "Good Eats - Purslane". It had a picture, description and explanation that it is edible. Who knew! I think I'll try it and let you know.

My vote for superfood # 22 is NUTS, particularly almonds walnuts and pecans.

I like a good CRUNCH when I munch for lunch,
Or know that I'm getting my protein when I sip the big green (smoothie)
    ...so you see
    I go nuts for nuts.
    Sprinkled on dessert,
    Tossed in a salad,
    Ground up for butter...
    Or pie.
    It's no lie
    nuttin's better than a butter
    with CRUNCH for lunch.

That was fun! I liked reading all your ideas, and I have to agree with them all!!!!!!!!!!!!!
