    Default Too much compostable material!

Does anyone know what else I can do with all my scraps and peelings besides composting. I have four 30 gallon bins full and have no room for more! The thought of throwing the stuff away makes me crazy. I live in a strict neighborhood with a regular small yard, so just throwing the scraps into the wild won't work. We are a large family and go through tons of fruit and veggies every week. Any suggestions would be appreciated!

Mix it with muclh and sell it to folks who are getting their flower beds ready.

It is, therefore, evident that it is possible to cure by foods, aliments and fruits; but as today the science of medicine is imperfect, this fact is not yet fully grasped. When the science of medicine reaches perfection, treatment will be given by foods, aliments, fragrant fruits and vegetables, and by various waters, hot and cold in temperature.

see if your town/city has a "yard waste" pickup along with garbage. in seattle they collect compost and yard waste and the city composts and uses it. otherwise maybe seek out a wilderness area where you could dump it or see if there is a farmer nearby or local community garden that could use it as compost. ask at your local coop what they do with their "junk" stuff and/or if they know where you could take stuff to be composted.

You can buy a barrel type of composter and you put the compost in, rotate it every day for two weeks and it's done. I don't know how much it costs. :)

What if you bag up or sell (or give away) the compost in 1 bin, so you can continue to compost the new materials?? Could you put "ready to use" compost in some trash bags and close up until ready to use, or go ahead and till it into your garden area??

What else I used to do before I had a compost bin, was to blend the waste in the food processor to make the waste as small as possible to enable it to rot down quicker and then dig a hole in the garden and put the days waste in it and then cover it with a little soil. Cover it so creatures can't fall down in it overnight and then carry on the next day till it was almost full and then finish off with soil.:)

I know that Ani Phyo mentioned in her book that she is able to sell her organic peels, scraps etc back to the organic farmers she buys from at a farmers market.
