Post Starting a Raw Food Potluck...

    Greetings 2 all
I'd love 2 start a raw food potluck in my area.
I live in a very small apt.
How do I go about this?
Such as, ideas in finding ppl who would be willing to have an open space,
should there be a limit as to how many ppl I'd like to have.
etc etc, what if no one is really into the raw food diet in my area, due to the redevelopment of many restaurant opening now. ( which is the big hype sown here now) anyone has any suggestions.
Also how do I start or go about it. What is a Raw food pot luck dinner?

Well - most raw potlucks start small. The one in the area I used to live started with 3-4 people who were interested. They would bring 4-5 servings each and go from there. It would rotate between the homes of the main participants. Eventually, they got too large (10+) and they found a space they could rent for a small fee (some places will donate space, if it is good advertising for them). They charge a small fee to go to the potluck, in order to cover the cost of the rental (couple of dollars) and hold it in that setting. 60+ people now attend that potluck regularly. Have you been to a raw potluck before>?
You can generate interest by posting online at a meetup site, or advertising in places like yoga studios, etc. Also don't underestimate word of mouth - tell everyone you know! Good Luck!

Thumbs up Reply for potluck ideas...

    Thanks :)
I never been on a raw food potluck before, but as for my question on ( What is a potluck? ) duh.. we called it something diferrent in our language it was ( well it was just a get 2gether) and everyone brought something different, althought it was cooked food and I never ate it, I had to bring my own, but I made plenty for everyone to take home, and they wanted my recipes. So there I just answered my own question. Thanks for the information. I also want to make mines a memorable one which includes something that they can take back home esp for those who are not on the raw diet. Such as pamphlets on the raw food diet. dvd's so that I can show as a presentation,
and from there whatever it turns out to be... (Does Allissa have pamphlets or intro dvd's not the food recipes, just on what the raw food diet is about?) on such topics about the raw food diet... if not, I will have to create my own any ideas for pamphlets.
    Thanks for you suppor again..
    Be at peace..
and stay warm. it's snowing alot down here

I've got a free ebook on the 10 most asked questions about raw food on my site.
