    Default slope in the backyard

So I want to turn my backyard into a huge garden but it kind of slopes down on the side where I want my garden. Does anyone have experience with just buying organic topsoil somewhere and filling in a huge divet? I'm not really sure what to do in this case..

You could do a raised garden, & level it that way...?

It'll cost more than you expect to haul in dirt, but it's do-able!

You could also take the soil from the other part of the yard...but that ain't goona work if you have grass!

The most important things (I lived in Van for 14 years) is where will it get the most sun, seeing as it rains so much there, & also where will the rain drain to when there's lots? (You don't want it flooded!)

Let us know what you do, & what works! & enjoy!!! Watch out for wormies!!!
