Default David Wolfe in Portland, Oregon!

Just thought I'd let those close to Portland, OR know that David will be speaking at Bikram Yoga on Feb. 23. He hardly ever comes to Oregon, so this might be a good opportunity to attend his workshop...

    Hi there Oregonians,

Just go to the Bikram Yoga website (where the event will take place) - here's the link:

    https://clients.mindbodyonline.com/home.asp

.. a page showing class schedules will show up... just click on the WORKSHOPS tab on the right UPPER corner of that page..scroll down again and you will find the 'Signup now' button.

Hope you can all make it!

    Default Wow!!!!!!!!!

WOW! I attended David Wolfe's presentation on Saturday in Portland - it was AMAZING! He is extremely knowledgeable and very 'real'. I was fortunate to talk to him (and also get a big hug and kiss) and one thing that made a profound impact was the patience and time he took to attend to each person's questions (which we had to line up for). There were no hurried responses and there were many people who were helped by him that evening. The talk was scheduled from 7-10pm, but it finished after midnight, which was great! We got to taste raw chocolate, peanuts, etc. and each got our own cups with super chocolate drinks - it was SO good!

I could go on much longer, but what I would like to share is something he said for those struggling to stay on raw.... "Stop 'trying', just ADD!" So just add new raw foods to WHATEVER you are eating right now, so that nothing is taken away from you. Also, try a new raw food every day (which includes wild greens). Since Saturday evening, I am right on the raw food track, which I've been trying to do for months!

I feel very privileged to have met him... and I hope that I will be able to meet Alissa one day too!!

yeah, i went to his seattle lecture and i really like that thing about "just ADD"; kind of takes the pressure off of "are you 100%? you have to be 100%!! what percentage are you??? etc" kind of talk. i, too was impressed that he went way over-time here and that he was still taking questions when i left, far after the lecture had ended. i was unexpectedly impressed with the info he gave; i previously had the impression that he was just all about selling his stuff, but the stuff he is doing in terms of gardening is absolutely amazing...
Question though: i was really struck by the kirlian photography of the raw foods. ive seen photos like these before, but i really loved seeing them again. HOWEVER, in trying to research kirlian photography i have reallyl only come up with information saying that kirlian is not valid, varies with a number of environmental factors of the room, such as moisture, humidity etc etc etc, and that it really does not show the lifeforce of something. unfortunately, the critiques of it seem pretty reasonable and logical...similarly with the orgone elements that he was talking about. on one hand, i would love to believe there is this magical world out there full of things like life-energy emnating from foods and these mysterious orgone elements; ie alchemy that is actually scientifically based and can be scientifically shown (like he said if you expose ormus gold that you get from one of those "water spinners" to sunlight, it will turn into real mineral gold.....yet on the other hand i am wary of being "sucked in" to some sort of unreality.....? anyone have comments on this stuff? thanks. kaybee
