    Default Cheap juicer recommendation

    A few years ago I bought a cheap ($59) Waring juicer and it was a pain -- hard to clean, extracted very little, noisy, too big. I threw it out and decided juicing was just too much trouble. I'm still not ready to invest in a high dollar one but I did buy another cheapie -- it's the Hamilton Beach, $35, and it works just fine for my purposes. Pulp comes out nice and dry, works fast, easy to clean, small enough to store well or leave on the counter, not too loud. I'm not kidding, it's *really* easy to clean.

    Thank you for the recommendation asil..................I have wanted a juicer for a long time, but haven't wanted to fork over the money for a nice one-- so maybe I will go get this one-- I'm really wanting to juice some carrots at home instead of paying the high price at a juice bar. Does it really juice carrots & celery well?? How about beets??
    Thanks again for your post;

    I haven't tried beets or celery, but I have been making a big pitcher of carrot, apple, chard, lemon, and ginger juice every morning with ease. The feed opening is a bit small, so I had to cut the apple and the big honking carrots I'm using into slimmer pieces. And that Waring I used to have would gum up on stringy ginger -- no problem with the HB. I also hated the Waring because I kept having to empty pulp mid-juicing. This one dumps it into a recepticle (which I'm sure higher end ones do to, but my old cheap one did not.)
