Default will my upper arms get less "fibby flabby wiggley waggley"?

how's that for a question? i'm releasing weight, i'm working out and i really really REALLY want my upper arms to be pretty and trim like they were when i was younger.

i'm 44... i was 265 pounds (maybe more as i never weighed myself) - and now i'm almost 200 pounds, but i still have those fibby flabby wiggley waggley upper arms.

anything i can do specifically to get rid of this?

Something you can do to help loose skin is dry skin brushing, and the other, for muscle tone, is exercise.

I have noticed that a lot of the flab on my legs has disappeared since raw, so it can and will happen. Just keep on doing what you're doing.
As for the arms . . . that's another story.
I carry very heavy boxes of books everyday, plus I am one of those rare women who develop big muscles really easily.
My upper arms are huge and well muscled, sometimes too muscled for my tastes. I thought that the low protein of raw would help them shrink, but instead they only got BIGGER.
Then, the other day, in the gym, when I was on the treadmill, someone complimented my arms. And suddenly I didn't see them as a flaw anymore, but as an asset.
Anyway, that's besides the point, but I'm pretty sure that you will have nice, toned arms again, especially if you had them when you were younger.

I've lost over 50 pounds on raw food. I dry skin brush, and now I exercise a lot more. My upper arms used to be really jiggly. You know that joke, when I waved good-bye, my upper arms kept waving even after I stopped. They're a lot better now! Yours will be, too!

Do you have any dumbells? (free weights) I think doing some arm specific exercises will help! It certainly can't help and won't take much time.

You can do the standard dumbell curl. Stand holding the weights with your palms/lower arms facing up and then curl the weight up to your shoulders. This will work the bicep.

Another really important area to work is the triceps. Hold one weight with both hands over your head. Now, bend your elbow so that the weight is behind your back. The exercise is to now lift the weight to above your head and then drop it back down and do it again. You will feel this in the underpart of your arms (triceps).

I would think 3x a week will make a big difference. I'm doing Body for Life and it involves these exercises twice a week (plus other stuff) and my arms are really firming up!

I have the same arm problems but someone told me they can tell they are going down, I can't see it but others can. Have you had someone else look to see if they can see them going down?

RG, you should also get a bodywash with seaweed in it. that helped me a ton when i lost a lot of weight a few years ago. also, if you go to a spa, get a seaweed wrap for instant skin firming.

I don't want to sound negative because honestly everyone's body is different. Some people bounce back with good diet and exercise habits and some peoples body are too far stretched to bounce back. I have lost over 70lbs through diet and exercise and I am so jiggly everywhere. I went to the gym for over 2 years for toning and yes it did help but nothing is going to make the skin on my body go tight again.
