    Default New Kitten

Any advice? I'm SO excited! I would have gotten two, but money wouldn't allow for that at the moment. Any of you that have had a kitten, what was it like when you got your kitty home? Did she or he cry a lot? My kitty will have plenty of room after the initial transition from one room that's her room anyway! Eventually I'll switch her over to a raw meat diet, but I figure to go slow with that and not worry so much about animal by-products and other poor quality cat food (the breeder is feeding the cats poor food in my opinion). I figure I eat well then so should she.

Anyway, looking fwd. to hearing from any of you.

I would transition slowly with her diet or she might have an upset tummy.
And for an extra boost for her coat try a little ground flax with a raw egg mixed with a hint of green powder and some olive or coconut oil. (as a treat - not every meal) = Shiny happy kitty!!!

PS. Congrats!!! We just adopted ours recently too and ooh, he's getting so big already! ( :

My cat is not on a raw food diet so I can't help you there.

She did cry a lot that first night I brought her home. My husband didn't want her in the bed with us. I had bought her a baby blanket. I brought her into the bed and laid her on my chest with the blanket over her. She settled down and went to sleep. Now that she's bigger, she sleeps on my pillow. She's very spoiled.

On a simlar recent thread, someone mentioned that if you give an animal raw meat to MAKE SURE it is organic--otherwise there are all sorts of nasties in the "conventional" stuff.
