    Default Vitamix blades bent?

When I made almond butter a few weeks ago my machine had to work so hard and I can't remember what the blades looked like when I first got my vitamix. Would anyone be willing to put a photo in here of their vitamix blade so I can compare? Maybe this is way too much to ask of you. I am so new to all of this. I am also a computer novice and haven't got a digital camera myself. Is the blade supposed to lie flat or are two of them upturned a bit, one a little more upturned than the other? The machine is working fine as far as I know, but I am uneasy that I may have bent the blade. Pesky aren't I?!

IF you go to the schematic for the model of Vitamix you have, it has drawings.

The picture appears to be the same as my blade. Two upturned blades and so now I'll stop worrying about it. And next time I go to my health food store, I'll have a look at the vitamix there just to be sure. Thanks again. That is a great site to file away, which I did, for future reference.

Two blades are straight and two blades are slightly bent up. :)

Default I was just going t ask a question about my vita-mixer.

I have a wet and dry jar and the wet jar blade part messed up and has to be replace or i have to purchase another wet jar.
Does anyone know if i could use the dry jar to make my soup and other wet things in?
They told me a new jar would cost me $100.00 and with winter on us it's not possible right now.

jacsam, thank you very much for responding. I see my blades seem to be okay and they do look like the picture on the vitamix website. Aren't they the most marvelous machines?
