    Arrow Juicing: nutritional data/calories/found where?

I'm doing mostly juicing anymore, its so easy and I love the end result!

Curiousity has me in it's grip: how do I find out how many calories, and other nutritional data for the juice I get?

For example, let's say an apple juiced yields 1/2 cup of juice. Its a large apple.
I can look up the information on nutrition data for an apple, raw. But is it the same information for that raw apple juiced? (Yes, I saw "apple juice" on the nutrition data site, so maybe that was a bad example.)

How about juiced zucchini? Or juiced raw kale? See what I mean?

The sites I've visited just don't show the information I'm searching for.

So, anyone out there know where I can find the answers? If so, please post!
    Thanks, everyone!

    Default do an experiment...

I don't know of a site w/ juice nutritional info but, using your apple example, why don't you conduct an experiment.

Weigh an apple & figure out how many calories (or other nutrition info that you want to know) then juice it & measure how much juice you get. If the apple has say 60 cals & you get 1/2 cup of juice then the juice should be 60 cals -- compare this w/ the info for juice on the nutrition tables. If it compares well, them I would extrapolate that other juices could be calculated based on the whole food information.

    Good luck w/ the experiment...

Oh, that's GOOD! Well, now I know somebody paid attention in math class! hahaha!

I was thinking something along those lines, but hadn't quite gotten there yet...

Now, what about the pulp left behind? Would it even have any significant calories/other nutritional data or would the information pretty much stay the same, even though the pulp is not being consumed?

That's where my research has left me hanging...

But thanks so much for your idea on the experiment!

Default website that might be useful

This site was posted in another part of the forum. I remembered your questions about cals in juices & though it might be helpful...

By the way, did you ever try the "experiment"?
