This is truly evil at work in plain sight, in my humble opinion.

    Just trying to be informed.

I get really stressed over stuff like this. How do you guys incorporate the reality of this into your perspective on life when you're striving to be spiritual and happy? without putting your head in the sand......

Default We can't stop or save

anything, by being negative. Each one doing what they can to conserve, recycle, second use, doing without the latest, you name it ( fashions, electronics, cell phones, ipods, cars, vacations, eating out and just un-necessities of life ). Minimizing what society says you need to live, and teaching the next generation these real values, makes the biggest difference. People here in the U.S. are really such spoiled kids ( I was thinking pigs) compared to many other equally advanced countries. Growing whatever you can, in whatever space you have, using whatever resources you have and doing more than complaining is the key. If you were privileged to have known or were fortunate enough to have been raised or influenced by; a relative from the old country, someone who lived through the great depression, or in any of the countries that were in WW II, you have some idea what I mean. They lived well within thier means, they were so-called poorly educated, but they LIVED, ATE, and DIED better than any of us will. They didn't need to go to the gym to get a work out, or do any kind of weight loss diet, they never needed credit counseling, or bankruptcy, etc. I am fortunate to have had two such parents, and two other relatives still living (81 & 89 yrs old), who have lived very practical lives. They live alone in teeny, tiny little houses , are socially active, and are worth more than I can imagine. They are not related, don't even know of each other, one was a city dweller who never drove, one grew up on farm, and drove the same little VW Rabbit for 15 years, before that it was a VW bus. Though I am not in their line of inheritance, the legacy they leave means more than any amount of $$$. It's not about where you live, how much you make, what you have, or what the government is doing, its' about what you do with what is entrusted to you in this life. We will all leave a footprint of some kind, how big or how little? What kind of legacy will you leave?

    Default Another breed

are those who give away more than they use. How about the 10% percent tithing principal in reverse. Using only 10% of what you make and giving away the rest. I'm sorry, I just think most Americans die of consumption than anything else, and I don't mean tuberculosis. Enough from me on this subject, don't know what really got me started.

I have learned so much from my dear mother in law who survived Hitler's evil war! Most of her family member's were killed when a bomb destroyed their home to a mere crater in the ground. Her brother and her were not home at the time, but out attending to the family garden which was a mile away. They arrived back home only to see the most terrifying sight that they would ever have to endure in their lifetimes........their mother and newborn sister laying in that crater.....gone! I will not go into more details here.....but this all lead to her amazing story of survival! She went through pure hell on earth. She met my father in law when he was over there for peacekeeping. She made a fortune here by starting her own antique and reproduction business in Houston. To this day she still lives a very frugal life! She has never ever used credit, but has always paid cash for every purchase....including homes and her commercial business property and the building she built on it. She did rent a building for her business for five years until she saved enough to purchase her business property and build. She is a very healthy, vibrant 82 years young. And also has been about 80% raw for the past two years. My dear mother in law is a prime example of what you describe above. thank you for sharing with us.

California, Arizona, Florida, Hawaii, and Texas rely on agriculture very heavily for their income and businesses. There are all sorts of rules about what you can bring across the state line. Here in Florida we have greening (super killer of citrus trees) and fire ants that someone brought something infected across the border in total disregard of the law.

So it's not you - just certain states.

Lets raise our own vibration, thru diet, cleansing and human connections. Whatever happens who knows but while we are here, lets count for something.
