This year a very well known Uk raw foodist/author was refused entry to the US. She was on her way to the raw festival in Sedona, they just didnt like the look of her (too hippy?) & the fact that she wasnt bringing lots of cash with her but was bringing her raw chocolate bars as gifts. She was really badly treated at a US airport, they even accused her of planning to sell her body for sex
I think there may still be a report about it on the site these items come from. Her experience has really put me off the idea of travelling to America

that is disgustingly frightening.

What happened to Kate Wood is disgusting. It really shows how ignorant and narrow minded. It seems like they took a dislike to her just because of how she looked, if they'd done that to someone because of their race or whatever it'd be in the news...its the same thing though, just persecuting people for being different.

We can stop this!!
I agree, it's terrifying! It's actually one of the things which put me off raw foods: since I read on the David Icke website that a major GM food company were PATENTING the GM seeds (patenting of seeds a practice long forbidden), and that, should the GM seeds contaminate other farmed lands, the other farmers had to pay a fee to the GM companies!
I thought: 'What's the point learning about the wonder of organic food, if there's soon going to be none left?'
And now, I read that every single seed on Earth is being stored ...
BUT: it doesn't have to be this way! I'm back on raw, and the more people who do it, the more the balance will shift. Humans together have so much power - and, as David Icke says, this power is one of the things 'they' want us to forget we have!
Power to us all! The amazing thing about love is how powerful it is - and how gentle!!

Thanks for that last post with a little bit of hope.
I read this earlier posts and links this morning and just got completely overwhelmed and terrified.
Can someone please post something positive about the future and the US?
I really need another way of looking at all this!
anyone look at all this horrible stuff and still see hope for our future?
If so, PLEASE share, ASAP!
Thank you in advance.

The war against We the People has been going
on for quite awhile. The Patriot Act of 2001 has in it that in case of "dangerious influenze" or other major virus, the gov't has the right to demand people get vacinated against the disease. If we refuse, they can take our property and everything we own and throw us in jail.
For the last 7 years I haven't seen much evidence the gov't is fighting terrorism, but I have seen a lot of evidence they are fight We the People.

The revolution starts within and at home!!! Buy organic and local as you can. Grow your own food as much as possible! Sprout seeds! Teach an inner city kid where food comes from! Start a community garden.
SHHH...Save your seeds! ;)
Walk away from their medications (drugs) and fear as much as you SAFELY can. Wisdom will prevail!!!!

thank you for that bit of hope in the last message.
Ok, so I understand why to save seeds, but any info on how to do it,
and what do you do with them then? do you use them or keep saving them?

IMHO there is very little real freedom in the U.S. What little we have is being taken away bit by bit by this out-of-control Govt.
Soon we will all have "real-id's" so this Govt can stamp all of us even more, we already have to have a passport to get back in our home country even from Mexico and Canada, I cant camp more than two days in my National park, the indigenious people of Hawaii cannot afford to live there and it is illegal for them to live on their beaches, the Govt will put a lien on your car or home if you dont pay increasing taxes on them (and you thought you owned them!), I can't have a trailer or ugly car parked in my street more than 72 hours or it will get towed, my ice must be removed, I cannot put up a garage sale sign on the pole at the end of my neighborhood anymore, my kids cant go trick-or-treating by themselves in this over-priced neighborhood because of safety, my yard must be nice and trim, I must drive at a certain speed in a certain way, and pay all bills even though everything continues to go up, but my salary. I will have no social security because the baby-boomers are more worried about themselves rather than leaving some for their children, I have to file my taxes precisely or I will be audited (again), my car must meet proper emissions, EVERYONE wants to check my credit for ANYTHING, every company in the US wants desperatly to put me more in debt, and then they cry fowl when people can't afford to pay them, I cant run after work at the high-school track at midnight without continously being harrassed by the police (so I stopped). I cannot open a business in my town without going through a hellish amount of beaurocracy that stiffles anyone but big corporations with teams assembled to deal with it. Samll business no linger thrive anyway in this area, so I guess it is set up for our failure. There are no jobs within 40 miles of me that are anything but retail and pay nothing, so I drive 52 miles one-way to work so I don't have to have my kids go to overcrowded TERRIBLE Denver area schools. I work overtime everyday and have no life for 5 days a week just to pay for the ridiculous amount of bills it takes just to sustain a minimal existance.
You might be the exception, but this squeeze to our liberty and life is becoming more and more of a reality for so many people. I personally and thinking of moving to Mexico or some other country for good. This one is failing. It is failing to allow the people who should have the power to live according to their wishes and happiness. We are so methodically intertwined into one specific way of life that barely works and if you happen to hiccup it all will come crashing down around you. The freedom we perceive is not really anything more than a veil that shrouds the true reality that we are a cog in a wheel helping others to succeed at our pwn price, not theirs. The ridiculously wealthy thrive as we work harder for less.

Russo - Mexico is on my list too.
Read an article this week that once I retire I can expect to spend $11,000 a year on medical issues when I get on medicare! We are the only industrialized country in the word without universal health. That means I work my entire life to support the medical establishment when I retire? That's insane.
As for social security - there is nothing wrong with ss. We've been paying extra since 1980 to pay for the boomers. The gov't complains that in 2020 ss will be in the red. Not exactly true. The gov't owes ss $2.5 trillion. That will be used up by 2040. Then they claim ss will go broke because of the boomers. But in 2040 we will be in our 90's and 100's! Right now there is 1% of the ss population that old. There is no problem with ss except the free ride is over for the gov't taking ss funds and using them elsewhere.
As for the rest of you post - too true. Not quite that bad here in Florida. But every year it gets worse.
-
Hey - maybe things have to get worse before they get better? Or maybe we're on a circle/cycle going back millenia, that we have the chance to break now? What's that Newton's Law thing? an object will remain in perpetual motion until another object with a stronger force changes it? (something like that ...!)
I'd say: maybe read David Icke, Stewart Swerdlow & co (if you haven't already), take with a pinch of salt here and there, but v good for another viewpoint/overview, even if not entirely accurate?
In many ways (sorry; don't hate me) the US has been very very sick for a very long time: the whole 'Land of the free' thing was sung while slavery was going on: genocide started the country, and in many ways the whole thing's been one big con.
The sort of enforced patriotism of the US seems very good for fighting wars (American acronym for rest of word: ROW) but not so good, maybe for its citizens ..
and now one could argue that that sickness has bubbled its way fully up to the surface, and is more and more on display - and maybe now's the time to tackle it? (although time's just an illusion).
I'm not anti-American. And I stopped being proud of Britain the day Blair declared 'war' on Iraq.
Wouldn't it be great if all that genuine American idealism and pride in being 'land of the free' could actually be harnessed for the good, instead of being used for the bad? if the enforced paranoia could turn to love?
Celestine Prophecy says now's the time for humanity to make the leap to a more evolved consciousness; and maybe part of that leap involves a lot of the old mud/sickness being churned up?
I'm rambling on a bit - sorry. In a nutshell: yes, it looks pretty terrifying right now: '1984' coming to life before our eyes pretty much everywhere; but that's not where the real power lies - and 'they' know it, and that's why 'they' have to use force. 'They're' terrified; hanging onto an illusion; needing to get energy from others as they've long since lost their own; lost their way. And, if everything's One, there's probably a bit of that in most of us. Change that, and we move on (sorry: have been reading a lot of New Age books!!)
The real power lies in every one of us; is always with Love. And I hate to say it, but maybe the old saying's right: change yourself and you change the rest of the world.
Only thing that isn't an illusion is Love. (I just wish Love would come visit here more often!! but maybe that's part of our job? to let it in? And yes - I know how revoltingly 'pi' that sounds).
Finally - I suppose it is all a learning experience (although I'd sooner learn through joy, thank you very much!)
PS: Be on the lookout for the verichip - implantable human microchip. It's maybe only a matter of time before it really starts getting touted as the Latest Good for Humanity - it'll Stop Terrorism, Stop Aging, Stop Medical MixUps, Stop Everything Bad Happening To You - and if you don't take it, you're a Bad Citizen.
Hah - yes. And there really were WMD in Iraq, Iran really is a threat, and the elitist millionaires who run the country really do have the best interests of the populace at heart.
We can change things for the better! Maybe every tiny thing we do really does echo out, with a power we cannot comprehend fully right now? And so the worst thing we could do is just sink into depression. I don't mean: be Pollyanna. Just the old: focus on the positive, with a weather eye on the corruption around us. And don't get emotional about it, one way or the other, or put 'good' or 'bad' onto it. Or get depressed. There's always more power in Love.
