I am not familiar with the juicer on Alissa's sight, but I have a champion juicer and it juices ginger perfectly, (peel first, this keeps it from being bitter), and with oranges, you need a citrus juicer, or you will get the white pith with it. Which will make it bitter.

However, if you want to juice oranges or other citrus fruit this way, make sure you do peel them.

I dont have to peel mine when I use my "juiceman jr" juicer..... It can be strong ,so add a little bit to other juices ( strawberry,lemon-ginger is good, as well as ginger- apple)
