Kale Chip Recipes
I have recently fallen in love with zesty nacho rythm chips. i can eat the entire bag myself. the only problem is they are like $8 a bag. found some good recipes to try but want to know if anyone else has tried making them yet and i they were successful? plan on making a batch this weekend hopefully.
I'm not sure if you're asking about kale chips or, whatever that was you're eating for $8 a bag. Many of us have made kale chips. If you do a search here, you'll find the recipes for them.
Yes, there are tons of recipes.
I make mine very easily, because I actually found following kale chip recipes was difficult because the ratio of kale can be hard to determine since kale is so fluffy.
Basically, I take a huge bunch of kale. I rip each side off kale off, and discard the spine and throw all kale into a huge salad bowl. I then put a bit of olive oil, a splash of soy sauce, some sea salt, a couple tablespoons of nutritional yeast, and a whole bunch of dried dill on the kale and I mix it all around with my hands until everything is well mixed. I don't worry about measurements because your just trying to coat the kale in enough sauce similar to a kale salad. It shouldn't be too oily, just nice and moist so that everything sticks together.
Dehydrate and enjoy!
If you want specific recipes, as Revvell said, there are tons out there just do a search.
I like this recipe for Kale chips:
I also use the cheese sauce for tacos, dehydrated onions, you name it! It's got really nice cheesy flavor.
thanks lanib those sound pretty awesome. i found a lot of differnet recipes but can't seem to decide which one to try first. now i think i will start with these.
I just made some the other day. I ripped the sides off the kale and discarded the really big parts of the stems. Then I mixed some lemon juice and salt and raw vegan pesto parmesan in with the kale and kind of massaged it all into the kale with my hands. A lot of people add olive oil, but I didn't think it needed it, and I know I didn't need the extra fat from it! It was deeeelish!
I actually have a some in my dehydrator now - but not the cheesy ones.
Sometimes I want a lighter Kale chips than the cheese - they are very filling with the nuts! So I just stripped the kale off the thick stems like Speltrong did, made them somewhat small in size (they will shrink a LOT so not too small), then put in a bowl with a drizzle of olive oil. Then I use some sea salt, cayenne and a little garlic powder ... massage the oil and spices gently into the Kale until it's evenly distributed. Then put in the dehydrator until dehydrated and crispy

so these totally kick ass! made some this morning with dino kale and just got back from the store with curly kale since the first batch never made all the way through before i ate them all. this recipe sure does make a lot of sauce. thank you, thank you!!! they are almost exactly like the rythem kale chips. for some reason goldfish crackers are my raw food cryptonite, these are my new secret weapon now.
