I'm so grateful to finally have a living situation where I can garden. Being a raw foodist, I put out table scraps like a family of six. So, now I can practice the joys of cultivating compost!

I'm a caretaker and have to keep the compost neat looking on the property, no big heaps. Besides, that wouldn't work. All I'd be doing is making a salad for wild animals, not that I begrudge them that. That's my first question- how do I keep wild animals out of it?

I've got an extra garbage bin. What if I drill holes into it and use that as a composting bin? I'm on a tight budget.

And what about just digging holes in the ground and burying food scraps?

Any feedback would be appreciated!
Love, Stina
