    Default Bloating

    Does anyone get really bloated sometimes no matter what is eaten? I'm thin but even my kids laugh that I look pregnant at the end of the day. It's especially bad with a lot of fruit. I was hoping that the seeds or nuts I throw in to a fruit salad that were soaked first would change that, but I guess the rules of food combining really apply soaked or not. Any thoughts?

    Yes. But I am far from 100%. However it does seem that it has happened to me in response to all food stuffs both raw and SAD. I have not figured it out yet.

    It might be yeast, and that's why the fruit makes everything worse. I drink a green smoothie everyday and could only eat about 1/2 cup of fruit at first. Otherwise, I would get a tickle in my throat and get gassy. I was also hypoglycemic and it was way too much sugar, and would really cause blood sugar problems. Now fruit doesn't bother me so much anymore - I've been raw since June)

    The only way to find out is too eliminate fruit for a day or two, if that doesn't help try another food you're eating a lot of. If it's the fruit just add a little into your diet every day and your body learns to tolerate it without the side affects.. (I used to work for an allergist, and that's one of the ways to find out if you're eating a food you're allergic too. Although, the doctor would tell someone to eliminate that food for a month.

    Talking bloating

    Marin mom
    Here is something worth trying if you havn't already.

    Sequential eating.
    1st=eat acid fruits ,followed by less acid fruits.
    2nd=vegetables followed by starch
    3rd=you can also eat fruit, wait 20min. and then eat a vegetable soup, or eat fruit,wait 20 min. and then eat a salad with or without fat.
    When eating melons follow by other types of fruits. This was experienced successfuly by people who had the same problem. Hope it does the same for you
    So long rita'skitchen
