    Default hemp seeds

Do I need to soak or sprout hemp seeds? I really know nothing about them.

    nope!
as long as you have the SHELLED hemp seed...
also known as hemp seed nut or hemp hearts.
they are still raw, they are not heated in the shelling process!
the ones in the shell are NOT raw as they need to be sterilized so that you cANT sprout them and grow your own, there are strict laws around that, much to my chagrin.

    so,
    just eat up,
    and enjoy!

they are one of my staples,
    mmm!

    try also:
hemp seed powder (still lots of protein, less of the fat)
hemp seed oil (alll fat. lol. but GOOD fat. and so yummy. my favourite oil.)

hemp has THE perfect balance of omegas 3 & 6
    and alllll essential amino acids.

    the perfect food!

can you tell its one of my favourites ;)

    love, liliu

I buy organic hulled hemp seeds. And I eat them mixed with cereal or in salads.. I love them and I don't soak them.

I buy the 5-lb bag of organic hulled "nutiva brand" hemp seeds from amazon.com (it qualifies for free shipping).

I keep 1-lb in the refrigerator ready for use, and the rest in the freezer.

Yeah - Whole Foods has them, but amazon.com is cheaper.

Default There may be a problem with sprouting hemp seeds.

I believe it's basically illegal to grow hemp in the US. You need a license from the state or feds. Not sure of the details, but having hemp plants around - even sprouted I think could land you in jail.
