    Post Are Wheatgrass tablets/powder effective?

Would it be worth the investment? I really don't want anything to do with cultivating wheatgrass or juicing it. Do tablets/powder have all the nutrients available? Anyone here use either and which brand? Thanks!

I started taking green powders after I realised that buying and eating all the greens I felt I needed was neither affordable nor practical, seeing as I really don't care to eat very many sorts of greens. And I do feel more energetic when I incorporate a green powder containing a variety of super greens into my diet.

Thanks for your input. I suppose if you are feeling energetic from powder form then tablets should be of equal potentcy.

I think as long as whatever it is has a high chlorophyll content you should be all right....just check to make sure that there aren't loads of additives and the like and that whatever product it is hasn't been too heavily processed.

    Default powder vs. fresh

Certainly, fresh is always best, with anything. BUT....if what works for you financially is a powdered or frozen variety, go for it. It does lose some potency, but again, if you are not using it because you are ill, then go ahead and do powdered. Check out my site....right now I am offering 25% off cut grass. Powdered and frozen are typically from second growth grass and it is grown outside in very large fields of grass. Be well..
I'd rather juice my grass!

I'm fortunate enough to live next to a vegetarian specialty store, and they actually sell a fair few raw products...I discovered the other day by looking on the top, top, top shelf that they actually had raw protein powder, which I don't personally buy but was impressed to see in an actual shop rather than online. Then there are the raw chocolate bars...which range from £2.50 - £4 each and which I've only ever purchased on one occasion. Almost worth it...but alas, I'm a poor student in loads of debt, so not planning to buy too much more than I feel is enough to keep me healthy.

    Thumbs up

I buy barley grass juice powder from iherblcom for $10.65 a jar. Each jar has 80 servings and it is a beautiful green and tastes like the real thing.

how much is in the jar? I always wonder if I'm getting ripped off when I buy stuff like that. I order mine online though.

I know what you mean. There is 80 grams. so that is 80 1000mg servings. you are supposed to take 2 servings a day. I am buying it for the winter. When the spring comes round again, I will grow my own barley grass in trays in my cold frame in the garden. This juice is from 'Pure planet' Just Barley, organic green juice powder. I bought it from www.iherb.com They were the cheapest I could find. ($10 something) They do discounts on their products.

I still have a jar of wheat grass tablets I purchased over 6 months ago and I barely touch them. I might take 1 or 2 during a blue moon but the jar recommends 5-20 tablets daily!! No way! I HATE swallowing pills.. and "hate" is putting it lightly.
