    Yum!We have a raw foods class on the 13th and my teaching partner and I have been dehydrating. I think she did 12 bunches of them. I keep eating the three bunches I did from my household out of the dehydrator. Dh just said they are really tasty! Raw is definitely NOT torture!

    oohhh....I have to try these! :) I always buy kale but never end up eating it.

    How exactally did you make your Kale crips... what did you put on them to taste so delicious. How long did you dehydrate them for?

    This is a recipe I found on the board quite some time ago. I'm sorry that I have lost the author of the recipe.

    Deliciously Live Kale Krisps

    2 bunches kale, de-stemmed, and torn into small pieces by hand

    Place kale in a very large mixing bowl.

    Coating:

    1/3 + 2 T sesame tahini
    1/3 + 2 T almond butter
    ½ c apple cider vinegar
    ½ c water, more if needed for consistency
    ¼ c fresh parsley
    ¼ c Nama Shoyu
    2 green onions
    1 clove garlic
    1 lemon, juiced
    ¼ t sea salt

    Combine all ingredients in blender and blend until smooth to get a thick yet pourable consistency. You may have to add more water to achieve smoothness. Pour over kale and mix thoroughly with your hands generously coating each piece of green.
    You want this mixture to be really covering and sticking to each piece.

    Place greens onto a dehydrator tray fitted with mesh screen and Teflex sheet. Dehydrate for 4 hours at 110 degrees or until crispy. You may need to rotate trays occasionally to achieve uniform crispness.

    Make sure you lay each individual Kale crisp on the tray. My partner calls me the "Nutty Professor" because once I made Kale clumps. I was so tired of making crisps, that I just made mountains of kale on the trays. It ended up tasting like cheese straws and did not have the same effect that the krisps had. She saw it as a disaster. I saw it as a failed experiment.

    Thank you soooooooooo much Dr. White for this recipe!!!!!!!!!!!
    Love them, they are so delish.!!
    I almost ate all the coating before tossing it with the kale....so caution everyone....be full when you put this together or you may risk not even getting them into the dehydrator!
    I bet the coating would make a great dip or dressing.
    Everyone needs to whip these up!
