Default I'm off to a raw food retreat tomorrow :)

I'm going to the raw retreat in the UK tomorrow with Shazzie and Dave Wolfe. I can't wait to meet everyone. I'm really looking forward to 4 days of getting back in touch with myself. The last couple of months have been really stressful at work and it has only been the thought of the retreat that has kept me going at times.

I will come back and share what it was like when I get back.

    ta ta for now :)

    Default I'm back

    It was amazing!

Shazzie is just brilliant fun and oh so flexible (I was sat next to her during yoga).
Kate Magic is lovely and her cakes are amazing - if you can get to try her quantum cake then you simply must.
Dave Wolfe is one of the best speakers I have ever heard. He spoke for 4 or 5 hours every evening and left us all simply hanging on his every word. I thought he might be a bit too woo-woo for me, but he really got into the scientific detail of how these things work. The amount of new information he gave me was brilliant, I'm still sifting through my notes as there was so much to get my head round.

The food was awesome and gave me loads of inspiration to try out new combinations and make more effort with what I make at home. There were so many taste sensations (I didn't know until then that cacao nibs taste great with greens :) ) Kate Magic created all the menus. They were all really simple, but loaded with superfoods so we were all full of magic.

The days were made up of yoga, delicous meals, Q&A sessions, talks, (un)cookery demonstrations and tastings, meditation. I also took part in a midnight sweatlodge and on the last evening we had games and party.

But the best bit was meeting loads of other people on the same wavelength who understand what detox means, who are intested in trying new things. I remember feeling this wave of happiness wash over me as everyone was so happy it was contagious! I think it is so important to be in contact with other raw people. It's made me determined to attend more raw events so that we can all encourage and support each other.

What an amazing experience. Did anyone take videos we can watch?

How was your experience with the sweat lodge? I've always wondered about those.
